look for this seal from the international standards organization telling you they are safe and -- legit. abc 7 news. tonight it is hazy above the golden gate bridge so what about monday. here is drew tuma with a look. >> for some of us, clouds will be in the forecast monday morning. but for many of us, we will have good viewing conditions for this event. let's talk about future weather. into monday morning and stopping the clock at 9:01 on monday. this is when the eclipse will begin. when the moon will begin to move in front of the sun. you notice cloud cover and patchy fog around the bay. by 10:15 this is the max eclipse, when three-fourths of the suppose is covered, a lot of the fog eroded from the bay but the coast is still socked in with the low clouds. so how it looks right now, viewing spots get far a way from the coast and go as high's can. like the north bay mountains.

in mountain view where people gathered in support of diversity and and it was planned as a for what they called terrorist threats but people still came out for the counter-protest. >> it is important for us to -- a responsibility for us to take responsibility for each other an for our country and what is happening and be a part of this moment. >> the vice mayor of mountain view organized the counter-protest through his group, mountain view voice for peace. next weekend two right wing rallies in san francisco are expected to draw large crowd. today in boston more than 30,000 people held a rally. police made 33 arrests. andrew spencer has more. corresponding counter-protest. and a group had organized a rally before the violence in virginia tweeting this message a few days ago. denouncing all violence and telling participants not to bring any weapons or antagonize other groups or law enforcement. but the rotunda was empty compared to the throngs of demonstrators barricaded a good distance away. thousands people marched through downtown boston speaking out against racism and nazis and and white supremacists and carried signed and others criticized president donald trump. a few vocal trump supporters could be found in the crowd amid the sea of counter-protesters. some in front the line of protests at times got confrontational with police. and amid some particularly tense moments, several counter-protesters were taken no police custody. from the sky you could see the huge visual police presence and some of the confrontation and a

handful of people pulled into the crowd of police and taken away. abc 7 news. a freeway crash in antioch sent four people to the hospital, at least two of them in med evac. fire official said the driver of the sedan collided with another car on the eastbound highway 4 off-ramp. the said lan left the freeway and across the street and hit a utility box before stopping. some of the occupants had to be cut out of the car and it look like the driver of the sedan suffered a medical emergency before that crash. well tonight someone could win the eighth largest lottery jackpot? history. it is worth $535 million and people are lining up to get their tickets before 7:59 p.m. lonni rivera is live in san francisco at a significant lottery location and i'm sure she's not buying any tickets tonight herself. >> reporter: i actually am and i got one for you too, eric. behind me you could see on the

a new report on suicide rates in california prisons shows staggering numbers. the audit found a suicide rate of 22 per 100,000 compared to the national average of 15 per 100,000. it also found that prison staffers failed to do incidents of high risk and they sited realignment because it altered the prison population. there are more serious criminals mixed in with criminals who may have mental disorders in the prisons. >> those are already critical pieces of information that you need to know on -- as far as just does this individual need to be watched, at certain

intervals. >> the department of corrections said suicide rates now appear be on decline in 2017. a california senator could face a recall that would end democrat supermajority in the state legislature. members of the republican party submitted more than 63,000 signatures to recall josh newman of fullerton in orange county. the complaint is that he voted to raise the gas tax. democrats protested saying the recall groups tricked him into believing the recall was about the tax, not the senator. but a judge denied they are request. and if he is recalled, republicans could regain the seats and democrats could not pass laws without gop votes. it is one of life's bittersweet moments. saying hello and good-bye at san francisco state move-in day. and tomorrow could be a great day to be outside. meteorologist drew tuma up next with the accuweather forecast. >> marshawn lynch said he is like a daddy to the younger running backs and does father know best. what the beast mode hopes to

and half moon bay and the cool spot at 61 degrees. so future weather. let's go hour by hour. watch the time stamp at the corner of your screen and late tonight and into early tomorrow morning, temperatures will begin to cool off into the 50s right around the immediate bay water. so overnight tonight, here is the call. some high clouds streaming in. there is the fog right along the coast. bumped up through san francisco. and mid-50s to lower 60s is the starting temperature on the sunday. so your 12 hour planner on your sunday. there is the traditional morning cloud cover. a lot of gray skies for some. to start off the second half of the weekend. but by noon, midday and into the afternoon it is sunshine for most away from the coast and temperatures just a few degrees below average for this time of the year. around the bay we'll top out in the 70s and inland we'll top out in the mid and upper 80s. so high, 85 in con card. and 78 in napa. 67 with afternoon sunshine in san francisco. 82 and mostly sunny in san jose. 77 in fremont and lake port one of the warmest spots at 93

degrees. the total sole aceclipse and it will pass through 12 states from oregon to south carolina. so coast to coast, it will take 90 minutes to cross the united states. and the last time this happened here in the united states, 1979. but we will see here back home in the bay area, is a partial solar eclipse. this is on monday morning and when 75% of the sun is dofr covered by the noon at 10:15 in the morning on monday and the best bet for clear skies, get yourself away from the coast. that is where we'll likely have good viewing conditions but it is an awesome event. and the seven-day forecast, and it is nice for august around here. on your sunday. there is the solar eclipse on mond with the clouds in the morning but a dip in the temperatures but we bounce back
