beach, half-moon day, and but will talk about how long this forecast will last and a forecast for the solar eclipse coming up. >> the sheriff's office is expected to give us more information today about an officer involved shooting that happened last night around 10:30. authorities tell us shots were fired at a chevron station near the freeway, and moments later the accident occurred. two people hurt in the accident. they will reopen before 1:00 this morning. >> this morning federal investmenters are looking into a plane crash that killed two people on board. the home built plane was taking

everyone, we're also starting off with a good dose of clouds and fog. san francisco to san jose 62. at noontime we have upper 60s and mid 07s around the bay. notice the fog is pulling away from the san mateo coast. temperatures in the upper 080s,a few high clouds around. numbers uniform throughout the day. so we'll talk about that fog and if it lingers into tomorrow and the week ahead in just a few minutes. >> duke university removed a statue of a controversial civil war figure. it was vandalized last week in the wake of the violence demonstrating the violence in

charlottesville. they say it was removed from the duke chapel early this morning. it will be preserved. a statue of lee was the focal opponent of last weekend's protest. >> the man hunt continues this morning for the suspected driver in the barcelona terror attack. he and seven other men are suspected of being involved in a terror cell. they have been arrested or killed by place. yet they raided the home of imam who they believe is responsible for radicalizing the suspects. >> i heard police, and then we calmed down. >> police believe they may have been killed in a botched making accident.

investigating a deadly crash. it happened on highway 17 around 1:15 this morning. investigators said a car went off of the side of the road into a tree falling 100 feet down an embankment. two people were in that car and one died. it took firefighters an hour to rescue a woman using rope systems to pull her up the embankme embankment. fair m paramedics transferred her to the hospital. in sports the a's and giants are both looking to rebound of losing yesterday. the athletics will look to avoid being swipt. the first pitch is at 11:10 morning. last night, the raiders tuned up for the regular season against the rams at the coliseum. here is anthony flors with the

eclipse. i would go inland. looking at highed today in the mid 08s. look for sun at the coast. if you're going into the city this afternoon for a day game, 67, breezy in the afternoon. the seven day forecast, in the upper 80s today, mid 80s today and tuesday, and it will stay that way throughout the middle of the week. by the weekend if you need heat and sun, hopefully we will bring it on for you come friday and saturday. >> tomorrow, even if it is foggy and cloudy and you're frying to wat -- trying to watch the eclipse, you still news those classes. >> tomorrow, a total solar eclipse will obscure the sun in parts of 14 states including
