local time after reports of an active shooter. >> he was carrying a double bag. i think it was black. and he set it down and pulled it out and started shooting. >> law enforcement going room to room and floor to floor, combing the school for the gunman. >> the student walked up to him. engaged him. and that student was shot. that student did not survive. he then fired more rounds down the hallway. >> students sheltering in place. worried parents rushing to the scene. reuniting with children amid panic and disbelief. about 300 students were inside the high school at the time of the shooting. the governor of washington calling it heart breaking. abc news new york. and now to breaking news, a training accident injured 15 marines at camp pendleton. this involved an amphibious vehicle catching fire while it

abc7 news. being a teacher in san francisco could soon include reading, writing and rentable housing of the the san francisco school board has voted to move forward with a major housing project this former school site in the city's sunset district. the plan cause for up to 140 units. more than half would be available for teachers and classroom aides at a subsidized rate. the school board member says the housing the critical for keeping teachers in the city. >> many of our teachers are paying 50, 60, 70% on housing. it is insane. we need to get to it a manageable level where our teachers can afford to live here and live in the communities that they're serving. the agreement allows the city to begin looking for a developer for the project. er the mayor has committed nearly 45 million from a voter approved voteable housing bond. if it does move forward, city officials believe the units could be ready in about five years. and homes are such a hot
