>> can't be silenced by those who try to silence us with violence. >> reporter: this was mostly peaceful but were arrested. these women taken into custody bringing items banned by police into the event, items which could be used as weapons. this weapon treated by paramedics after accidentally knocked down in the crowd. berkeley police say nine arrests tonight. charges mostly unknown. some of them were for being caught with banned weapons or banned items. we can tell you that alameda county sheriff, berkeley police and university of california assisted in law enforcement. abc7 news. >> here are the mug shots of those arrested tonight. 20-year-old han that you benjamin of freemont, battery against a police officer and banned weapon.
