san francisco is paying up to try to keep daca recipients in the u.s. mayor ed lee and the board of supervisors decided to pay the fee for those who need to renew enrollment. recipients whose documents expire next march have until october 5 to apply for renewal. san francisco has agreed to help cover costs. officials say they've decided to cover all the costs because of the looming dead lien.
