now from abc 7, live breaking news. >> that breaking news this morning, north korea makes a bold declaration, the country says president trump's tweet is a declaration of war on the communist country. north korea's foreign minister says this at the united nations this morning. "since the united states declared war on our country, we will have every right to make all self-defensive countermeasures including the to shoot down the united states strategic bombers at any time." he's responding to president trump's tweet on saturday. it says "just heard foreign minister of north korea speak at the u.n. if he echos thoughts of little rocket man," meaning leader kim

a day after players across the league demonstrated against police brutality and inequality, the president tweets "many people boo the players who kneeled yesterday. these are fans who demand respect for our flag." buts abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield discovered, this is not what most bay area fans want to talk about. >> reporter: these radio show hosts on 95.7 the game have a feeling the nfl protests would dominate their four hours on the air this morning. they knew people would be passionate and were ready to let them vent. >> about being heard, about having a conversation, it's about different points of view and listening. >> reporter: about 200 nfl players protested during the national anthem including many oakland raiders with the entire offensive line sitting on the bench during the anthem. but when the game first opened up the phone lines this morning, they only got one call about the players' actions. >> i was shocked we didn't have -- i thought this would be a day where the phone lines were lit up the entire day.

>> reporter: instead callers wanted to talk about the raiders' loss to the washington redski redskins. one sports writing linked the two together in a tweet, vir tafur wrote "the raiders sat for the national anthem and never got up." >> what's on your mind? >> reporter: a couple hours later when they brought the topic up again, they got a few calls from listeners who also tied the protest to the raiders' loss. >> derek carr wouldn't link arms, at least be, like, somewhat close with his teammates. i don't know. it sort of looked like a little bit of digsf vision, when the ge started i felt like the game was off. >> reporter: the hosts weren't sure about blaming carr and his political stance on the loss but get why fans want to stick about talking about the game. >> i understand when people say they don't want that in their sports. i totally get it. sport is a way when you escape. >> reporter: the team has to get ready to face the denver bron o broncos. the hosts now the fans will be ready to discuss the results. if san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. nuew england patriots quarterback and san mateo's own

tom brady took part in yesterday's protests locking arms with tell maammates. this morning he said he disagrees with what the president has been saying. >> i disagree with what he said, thought it was just divisive, like i said, it's -- you know, i just want to support my teammates. i'm never one that says that's wrong, that's right, but i do believe in what i believe in. >> today's comments are surprising, coming from tom brady. he's been a fairly vocal supporter of president trump. mr. trump has called him a friend and brady has tried to stay out of politics. a new controversy this morning resulting over the curfew at levi stadium. singer ed sheeran has just canceled his concert there due to the rule that the city put in place to appease neighbors. abc 7 news reporter matt keller is live in santa clara with the story. matt? >> reporter: kristen, the 49ers have said that this curfew on concerts was going to cost the city a lot of money. now it's happened. a big name has backed out.

and that could cost the city about $800,000 in revenue to the general fund. ♪ i'm in love with your body ♪ discovered something brand new no ♪ ♪ i'm love in the shape with you ♪ >> reporter: ed sheeran is snoen known for his massive hit "shape of you." the 49ers reached an agreement with the grammy award winning artist to come to the levi stadium next year. because of the 10:00 p.m. curfew, the 49ers say sheeran's show will no longer come to levi stadium. the community is spaying the pri paying the price. only $1,000 fine for breaking the curfew, but vice mayor says this is purely politics. >> this suspect evisn't even ab this is about the mayor trying in her head to get a paper trail of how the niners are breaching the contract, simply trying to

get rid of the niners running the stadium. >> reporter: last month, the 49ers asked the stadium authority which consists of all city council members to extend the curfew to 11:00 p.m. four times a year and offered to give $20,000 to local schools and libraries every time they get a curfew extension. that request was denied. mayor lisa news to us. now this issue is going to be brought up at tomorrow's con current city council and stadium authority meeting. that meeting starts at 7:00. reporting live in santa clara, p>> matt, thank you. ws. three people including two injured in a crash in the east r bay early this morning. it happenednteational boulevard and hyde street at 3:45 a.m. officers were responding to a shooting call when their suv collided with another car. they were taken to the hospital

in stable condition. a civilian involved in the crash is also in stable condition. tonight, community leaders in san jose will call for increased police accountability after the city's eighth officer-involved shooting. people acting in community together, p.a.c.t., will join city leaders at the bible way christian center. they want the city koicouncil t expand the role of the auditor and more police transparency after police shot and killed jacob dominguez, a known gang member earlier this month. p.a.c.t. says trust is broken and safety and justice are charged after that incident. peace and calm at uc berkeley this morning. free speech week was canceled along with several events that were expected to bring protesters en masse to the campus. organizers called off the e spre event citing safety concerns. milo made a surprise appearance yesterday. students say they're growing tired of their campus being used
