you can see how close this is to a building under construction. now i've confirmed there was a crew who evacuated from that construction site of the but firefighters are still investigating the cause around 100 homes were forced to evacuate. >> i was washing my car about 12:15. i ran about a block away and i noticed the actual fire and smoke. i tried to call 911 around that time. >> it is pretty scary. it happened a can you please years ago in the entrance. and now this is the second type. it is pretty scary. >> we'll be here several days. i mentioned the steep terrain. there was heavy flame and fuels. >> it is unclear when residents will be allowed back in. campus drive at the top of the hill was evacuated. there are many homes on the back side of the ring line. it was incredibly critical to keep it from spreading.

and that adds up to fire danger. wind conditions right now. pretty gusty and these winds are coming out of the north. the air rushes down hill. it compresses and gets warmer and you can see it on the 24-hour temperature change. up to 12 degrees warmer than this time yesterday in oakland and hayward. the high fire danger is a factor. we have a red flag warning until 5:00 tomorrow afternoon, where the north and east bay hills. all heading to the increased fire risk. so right now, 82 degrees in san francisco right now. 91 in oakland. 89 in mountain view. 90 in san jose. looking down to the bay, we have temperature readings, 90, 95 degrees. and 88 in livermore. i'll give you a look at how the conditions may change later in the week a little later.

these are our forecast features. we'll see he supper-like warmth. high fire danger tomorrow. a spare the air day. we'll have a much cooler pattern by the end of the weekend and it will continue into the weekend. we're looking eastward, westward from the hills. the air quality remains tomorrow, especially in the inland east bay of the just moderate at best. and so another summer spare the air day. overnight, look for clear skies. mid 50s to upper 50s. the inland east bay, the lows will drop to 59, 60, 61 degrees. then as we look ahead to tomorrow, another warm one. even at the coast. we'll see highs to about 80 degrees. and half moon bay. look for highs in the upper 80s in san francisco, oakland, down to the south bay.
