service. police say he was wanted on homicide charges out of fairfield. fairfield police say they tried to pull him over yesterday morning. he came to a stopn iinethterst say he opened fire on officers after a short stand-off. they fired back killing him. we're learning that federal agents detained nearly 500 undocumented immigrants had so-called sanctuary cities including in the bay area. i.c.e. it's a arrested 498 people during what they called operation safe city this week. the nationwide sweep focused on people convicted of crimes, as well as suspected gang members. agents arrest ad man convicted of having intersection a minor. 27 people in santa clara county including a convicted drug dealer in san jose. agents did not he target people in the daca program. a stabbing in a high school

leaves parents and students worried. it happened in san jose this morning. >> police made two arrests. the student who was stabbed remains in the hospital. >> reporter: school let out just a little while ago. but many students left much earlier this morning because they were too scared to stay on campus. >> parents rushed to the high school in east san jose, worried about their children's safety. >> then all of a sudden we hear, code red. this is not a drill. my teacher starts barricading the doors. >> authorities say two juvenile suspects accosted a ninth grade boy and stabbed him. it happened in front of students and staff. from sky 7, you can see police on the scene. they took two boys into custody. >> and there were a couple of adults able to retain the students. the suspects did not put up, to my understanding, any type of fight. they didn't run away. >> students quickly started sharing what happened on social

media as they took shelter in the classrooms. this snap chat video shows the scene outside of other students surrounding the boy who was stabbed. >> he was laying down on the ground and gripping like around here. and he was shaking. >> the east side union high school summit said one student was a tenth grade high school student and the oth w berot nas. many students were picked up by their parents. some say the school should have a dedicated police officer and -- >> some sort of system to make sure these kids from other schools are not coming in. or even kids from this school coming in with any time of wo n weapons. that's crazy. >> there are different ago assess points so even if there was a police officer on campus, i don't think that would have prevented it from happening because it happened behind the main gym.

to remain quite a mess for a while. breaking news, there's been another major rock slide in yosemite at el cap tan. a park employee says there are injuries reported. we just got the detail that. this new slide is even bigger than the one yesterday that killed a man from great britain and injured his female companion. yesterday a sheet of rock fell some 1,800 feet to the valley floor. this image is from the national park service. the couple were climbers but were not doing so at the time of the incident. the park records about 80 can rock fall. the last one was in 1999. we're gathering more information about today's latest slide and the injury, we'll bring you more developments as they happen. >> you may have noticed a little cooling. it is underway. you can see one of the change

effects. >> just hours ago, the golden state warrior announced they'll pay the entire cost ommer'sth cehampionship parade. the team lashed out at the city of oakland. not happy about hhe pyedow tout. the city's original estimate was $300,000. the actual cost, more than doubled to over $780,000. the warriors havepent nearly 6 million to cover this. the statement from the team this afternoon said most cities cover the majority of the parade expenses. the team went on to express disappointment with the process and the large disparity between the estimate and actual cost. and there's a new twist in the ongoing conflict between 49ers and the city of santa clara. stadium management, the coil running this, has told the city, it will no longer hold weekday concerts at the stadium after next week's cold play show. in a letter to the city, the stadium said next week's

already paid tuition, they want to know, will they get their ney sign reads happy times nursery school with operating hours listed. this parent sadly remembers hamer times. >> one day your daughter thinks she's going to preschl.ooind th out that they're not. >> mitch mitchell paid $900 for his daughter's september preschool payment. days before classes were set to start, he learned the school was closing. >> it is a tricky situation. we did pay for the semester. we haven't gotten our money back and that's our kids' money. that goes to their tuition for the year. >> reporter: in the nick of time, his family found another preschool. >> it is hard enough to get a preschool in san francisco. so having to do it on three days' notice is a little tough. >> and mitchell was disappointed with this letter mailed to parents. in it the head of the school explained how in may the staff signed wage agreements. by mid to late august, several

staff members resigned. it says, at that point, the level of staffing was not adequate. therefore the board of directors had no choice but to close the school. >> one of the things about the letter that was so disheartening. they put this on the teachers which is absolutely not true. the parents were warm. >> parents received a notification of possible sale of school supplies. the letter said unfortunately, all the the pre paid deposits were included in the operating capital and have been spent. simply stated, the corporation is insolvent. parents want to know how it got to this point. >> they're taking money out of our children's pocket. this is for their education. it is just so heartbreaking. >> reporter: the school has di aedcthe tll contact their attorney who is listed as a philip m. cunningham
