today is a total loss. the scene is near he harbor bay parkway and doolittle drive. it broke out aboard the empty boat 1:00 this morning. a fire crew arrived shortly after but they couldn't save the boat. it ultimately sampg. the cause of the fire is being investigated. depending on where you were, you may have heard they will. the blue angels took flight over san francisco today to survey the air space ahead of the start of the fleet week air show. several pilots in this year's flying squadron say they will be flying over their home towns. this pilot grew up in hayward. >> it is very up going to fleets a kid at moffitt air show, angels, experiencing them definitely inspired me to want to pursue a career in the military and serve my country. >> the fleet week air show takes

as for car pool cheaters, they are a thing of the past. tey're about to become paying customers. the new express lanes north and southbound are ready to become a new express way for commuters in a hurry. the route is divided into two tolls zone. if you go into the far left lane any time between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., you pay to ride in each zone and must have a fast track transponder to pay. >> the minimum zone, but there is no official maximum. the actual toll rates will be determined by the demand for space in the lane. by real-time traffic conditions. >> the toll zonal will likely skyrocket during rush hour. the left lane will be free for

oakland. up to about 90 degrees in the warmest inland locations. and let's revisit the fleet week forecast for friday, saturday and sunday for the blue angels air show. sunny skies in san francisco for the next three days. high temperatures tomorrow in the load low to mid 70s. nice flying conditions, nice viewing conditions. take a look at the tropical atlantic. we have tropical storm nate just exiting nicaragua tomorrow. probably strengthening a little bit. and then saturday into the gulf of mexico where it is expected to intense identify to a category 1 hurricane before moving in. then as it continues inland, it is expected to be a huge rain maker. possibly producing up to seven inches of rainfall in the areas that are hardest hit. another strong system. another strong tropical system that we'll keep watching and tracking over the next seven

here are the stories making headlines. the blue angels roared over the bay area this afternoon performing to prepare for tomorrow's air show. some of the pilots are from the bay area so very special for them. governor brown signed sanctuary state legislation to give undocumented immigrants greater protections. the controversial bill was opposed by i.c.e. and the state share's association. on capitol hill, there is a big
