will spend the night in a shelter after they were advised to evacuate from their homes. >> abc 7 news reporter katie utehs is live in healdsburg with more on that. katie? >> this shelter is housing a lot of people from santa rosa and the surrounding areas. but tonight they've seen an influx of locals from healdsburg as the city itself has some evacuation advisories under way. >> cardinal newman is gone. cloverleaf ranch is gone. >> bells healdsburg ambulance drivers took this video as they evacuated patients sunday night and monday morning from santa rosa. some of those emts have lost their homes, but continue to work for days, since the north bay fire started. now the company's offices are threatened in healdsburg as part of the city here is under an evacuation warning. meaning be ready to go at a

me and my photograph scott arth arthur. take a look. it really is kind of surreal. this is downtown. no sign of life. but that is because the mandatory evacuation order has been deemed a success. and i know it's almost midnight. but it's really been like this all evening, and even before the sun went down. the only activity you're seeing in this part of town is law enforcement. and there are countless officers. we see them occasionally go up and down the main street here. but they're also going out and about through the neighborhoods. and the city says things are safe and secure here, and that any unauthorized person who is found in this area is subject to arrest. so calistoga under a mandatory evacuation order because of the nearby tubbs fire and because of potentially dangerous wind still in the forecast. we want to show you this one family we came across in town. they told us they are not leaving despite the order, but they were taking the precaution of hosing down the roof. and then we came across another house in which the family did evacuate, but they left a sprinkler running on their roof

and also a folding table out front of the house with family photos on it and snacks, and a note to firefighters that reads "please save our home." there are 5,000 people who live in the city of calistoga, and the city is calling the mandatory evacuation a success. and a little bit of good news tonight. the city reporting that the progression of the fire has slowed. live in calistoga, katie marzullo, abc 7 news. >> katie, thank you. >> well, the sky map feature on sky 7 was turned on when it flew over santa rosa's coffee park neighborhood today. so you can see all of the street names there to give you a better idea of what the area is like. we've been on the ground in this area, which is just devastated. several streets don't have a single home left standing after the fire burned through there between sunday night and monday morning. but a few houses seem to be undamaged, as you saw there momentarily. you can see them on the bottom part of the screen a moment ago. there you go.

right near cashew road. those homes survived. now take a look at firefighting in kenwood. we have news that just north of glen ellyn in sonoma county and now video as well, just a short distance along highway 12 from santa rosa's oaklawn neighborhood. lots of firefighters here are battling some huge flames. some homes in nearby glen ellyn have already burned on sylvia drive. >> all right. we want to give you a look at how widespread the destruction is at the journeys end mobile home park. my goodness, look at this. our drone view shot earlier today gives you the full scope of the devastation there. one woman died many this mobile home park. she is identified as linda tunis. she had been reported missing. her neighbors face the task of rebuilding after flames destroyed their homes. and as you can see clearly, al of their possessions. >> well, people who escaped the fire had just moments in many cases to get out. >> i didn't grab anything really. like a laptop right sitting there and stuff that is easy to grab. and i just took off.

seconds. seconds could have made the difference between life and death. so there was no waiting. ernie chapman lives in santa rosa. he says his dogs helped alert him to the fire by barking. they all escaped safely. but their home is gone. well, the north bay's new smart train service is providing rides for free for the third day in a row. some service is limited because of the wildfires, of course. the sonoma county airport and santa rosa north stations are closed. now check out this view captured as a train rolled through santa rosa. you can see buildings burned, trees burned, some smoke still rising. just so much damage and destruction. safari west, a wife life sanctuary in santa rosa posted late today that their animals are safe, and, quote, surprisingly relaxed considering the situation. the area around the center is evacuated because of the fire. a few staff members have been escorted in by emergency

officials to help the animals. but lot of you have been asking. the animals are doing fine. >> all right. as you heard, santa rosa has been hit so hard by the wildfires. we've seen several neighborhoods burn to the ground, nothing left. on rolling oak, melanie woodrow found one family who says they feel a mix of guilt and gratitude. >> a row of mailboxes in santa rosa still standing. each of the homes they go to demolished. nothing seems real yet. >> now i'm going to start crying if i talk about. >> here rooms blend together. the remnants of a bed suggesting this one was someone's bedroom. >> looking at our neighbor's homes on either side of russ gone. there is nothing. >> miraculously, brianne and brad pruitt's house is unscathed. 17 years of memories untouched. >> we feel so grateful, yet feel a little guilty that people that we care about lost everything. my mom included. >> abandoned vehicles in the middle of the roadway could be

the wedding and reception happened back in june but little did they know after this heartfelt moment, a month later they received some life-changing news. dave was diagnosed with stage four melanoma cancer and spread to his brain, liver, lungs and spinal cord. since july he's had brain surgery, radiation and the cancer has spread to his central nervous system and he can't walk so he's been placed in a wheelchair. >> doesn't appear to be slowing him down. >> notice this this video he's moving right along, they're moving along as a family. >> he's still got his rock 'n' roll gear on. i'm ready, hand me my guitar. >> he is still going about his life as best he can. his other daughter callie was recently married in october and like they do, they put their own spin on things. you see him in the wheelchair, sitting on dave's lap. in november a benefit calling rockin' out cancer with dive and they'll be rocking out.

police timeline, that was about six minutes later that the shooter started firing on the concert crowd. the person who reviewed the records tells abc news that hotel security did not call the police until after the rampage had already started and that police did not reach the 32nd floor until after the shooting had stopped. president trump says the government will give las vegas $1 million to go toward the investigation. in the meantime, he's looking to drum up support for his tax overhaul by making his case to the american worker in person. he promised truckers in pennsylvania that his massive tax cuts for businesses and everyday americans would lead to bigger paychecks and more jobs for the middle class. he also vowed that they'll reap big benefits as he rolls back regulations. >> i've ordered every agency across federal government to review and then remove the regulations that destroy your jobs, hamstring your companies and undermine your ability to compete.
