that will hit the upper 40s. by noon we'll see sunshine and a few high clouds. definitely a chill in the air. 57 to 62 degrees. we'll see an increase in high clouds and some autumn breezes that will keep our temperatures below average. look at that, at the coast 57. inland he bay, 63. if you're heading out this evening they will start off breezy. so grab a coat. those mid to upper 50s, 53 to 57, will feel cooler than that. we have a one and done of this autumn weather. we'll talk about some warm temperatures, possibly some 90s coming up in my accuweather seven-day forecast. here is alexis with an update. taking a live look outside at our walnut creek camera here. you can see the sheen on the pavement, so you could have some of the mist and spray from the roadway kicking up and have to flip the wipers on. no issues southbound 680. we've had a lot of crashes overnight. we had a pretty serious crash that happened about 1:00 this morning on westbound 580 east of hopyard right at the dublin/pleasanton b.a.r.t.

station. one of the drivers was transported with major injuries. the roadway is open but we are concerned about the b.a.r.t. impact. one of the vehicles went through a fence and then went into part of the b.a.r.t. station right near the tracks. we do have >> reporter: they're saying there is not going to be an impact to the commute because it happened early and they were able to end up clearing the tracks. you can see it's not raining but the roads here are still wet along 580, and that's what may have contributed to the crash. just after 1:00 this morning a tow truck driver traveling here near hopyard crashed into the center concrete barrier and a fence at around 1:00. and you can see the truck all smashed up. it even made a hole in the fence. debris from the barrier and the fence landed onto the b.a.r.t. tracks.

caltrans and b.a.r.t. crews were called to the scene and power was shut down. they were able to clear that debris away. they were single tracking for a while and now they're saying it should not be an impact on the commute. the driver, though, of the tow truck was taken to the hospital. his injuries are unknown but the chp tells us that it's just a good reminder when you have these slick roads here, the first rain of the season, people aren't used to it, just make sure you slow down because, again, still not dry. reporting live from dublin, janine de la vega. fire crews making steady progress on those north bay fires. the sulfur fire is 96% contained. the nuns fire in napa and sonoma is 94% containd.

three of the hardest hit neighborhoods will reopen to residents of coffey park, journey's end mobile home park. there's virtually nothing left but this will be the first chance for those residents to see their homes for the first time and try to recover any personal property. school administrators are work to go give families a sense of normalcy. >> schaefer is still standing. located amid the charred ruins with hundreds of homes destroyed all around them. the plan is to clean up the schools and reopen october 30th. >> i imagine we'll be excited and happy and then we'll have those moments where the feelings come up and they're able to express those feelings they may not be able to express because they're still in shock.

a registered survivor's bank account. you can bring your issues directly to 7 on your side's michael finney. he's been in the north bay this week answering questions about the fire. today at the clear lake senior community center from 11:00 to 7:00 p.m. s sunnyvale police need you help to find a missing at-risk man. 59-year-old robert perez walked away from an assisted living center last night. take a close look at him here. perez suffers from dementia and has other mental health issues. he is 6 feet tall, thin, wears glasses, and is bald and has a gray beard. perez was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue pants. if you have seen him call sunnyvale police. developing news where police are looking for a carjacker who ran over and killed the vehicle's owner. the victim identified as 46-year-old james you can see where this happened on via del sol.

sheriff's deputies tell us when he got back to his car the suspect was in the driver's seat. the suspect threw him to the ground and then ran over him. he leaves behind a wife and two children. park service is dropping its fight to restrict dogs from the golden gate national recreation area. the decision comes after a lawsuit uncovered irregularities in the decision making process. the rules would have required dogs to be on a leash in marin, san francisco and san mateo counties. park officials wanted to protect native plants and wildlife, but opponents lobbied successfully for their dogs to run off leash. new developments and an oops in san francisco. recreation and parks commissioners thought they had voted 4-3 to remain justin herman plaza but found out they have to do this again because one of the commissioners in favor of renaming left the meeting early and wasn't present for the actual vote even though he was recorded as saying yes.

the city attorney's office said that legally the vote is now 3-3, so recreation and parks will take another vote on the proposal at its november meeting. repair costs at the damaged oroville dam have skyrocketed to $5 million, nearly double the estimate of $275 million. the contractor says the project has required significantly more excavation and concrete than expected. tens of thousands of people living near the dam were evacuated back in february after the main and emergency spillways were both heavily damaged during storms. check out this gorgeous picture from san rafael this morning. temperature 53 degrees under a partly cloudy sky. look at our air quality. it is good everywhere and it is going to be good to moderate later. the string of spare the air alerts over for now. let's take a look at your
