it happened at gramabling state university. authorities still looking for shooter. think it started as an argument or fight in a dorm room on campus. overnight and it led up to the shooting that happened actually inside of a courtyard on campus. the university identifies the victim as a student and his friend. both men were 23 years old. the campus is not on lock down, but students are being advised to stay inside and remain individual lent. developing news now, in oakland, police officer is recovering after being hurt in a hit and run. investigators say a suspect driver hit the officers vehicle last night at 96 avenue and sunny side street. police haven't made any arrests as far as we know. one officers did tell abts 7 news he thinks the officer is going to be okay. testimony is set to continue in san francisco this morning in the murder trial for the man accused of killing kate steinly. a police forensic investigator is set to take the stand. a woman at peer 14 when steinly

was shot testified about seeing suspect jose garcia staring at people and laughing minutes before the gun fired. two other women described how they heard the gunshot from their hotel room and saw garcia walking away from the scene. defense attorney are not disputing he handled the gun that shot steinly. they say it went off in his hands when he picked it up. now to north bay wildfires. in nap away county, sheriff has lifted all evacuation orders and road closures. >> in sonoma, all evacuees are expected to be able to return home by the end of the week. took quick action to help homeowners rebuild. abc aimed at cutting through the red tape of rebuilding. saving residents as much money as possible.
