56 in mountain view and 52 in fremont. looking live from the exploratorium camera, temperatures are slow to warm today. sunshine with coastal fog by noontime. but numbers staying in the 50s and the bay. if tin the low 60s today. we'll have more coming up in the next few minutes. and breaking news, police in scotsdale, arizona, catcher bruce maxwell has been arrested after pointing a gun at a woman. he was taken into custody after 6:00 last night at a scotsdale home where he faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct. the 26-year-old gained attention when he became the first major league baseball player to kneel during the national anthem last

month. last week he told tmz that a server at a huntsville, alabama, restaurant refused to serve him because of the protest. and police are investigating a deadly shooting near wild drive. the contra costa sheriff's county office responded to several calls about a shooting this morning. they believe they found the man shot on the street. neighbors were trying to give him cpr. paramedics tried to treat the man and. anyone with more information should call the sheriff's office. and san francisco police are looking for a stabbing suspect. someone attacked the man near the powell street bart station around 6:00 last night.

police blocked off the area with tape. you can see a there. the victim was taken to the hospital. no word on his conditions. a halloween costume out of style since the civil rights unit. one customer say s rivera saw this woman in a black face. >> reporter: harold was offended by a worker at the local staples. >> she said it was a sharpie

costume. and i said, sharpie or no sharpie, as a black man to see a hite person in black face is veoffensive. >> reporter: black face is a form of. this portrayed people in the 1800s until the civil rights movement. >> the nervous giggle in the store, you know, i felt like it was making fun of african-americans. >> reporter: the man was frustrated and came out to his car but couldn't leave. >> i met with the manager and he said, i know what happened. they already told me. i said, what made you think that was okay? >> reporter: the public relations staff says the employee works for hp markets

>> a company that doesn't have a level of sensitivity to a struggle of a people that is a large part of their customer base is not a company that i'm going to support. >> reporter: the woman removed her costume that day and is no longer working at the store. and her company's hr also looking into this. dangerous performing side shows, wheelies, speeding and driving recklessly have been going on since yestyest the truck wednesday behind them on interstate 88 to and rod along

if you would like to help, just go to our website, right now the at last fire in napa is 100% contained. the tubbs, nuns and pocket fire are 97% contained with full containment expected tuesday. and a man and a woman from monterey county are accused of looting in the north bay firestone. santa rosa police arrested two people after seeing them take a flat-screen tv out of a burned area. the pair led police on a high-speed chase before ditch ing the vehicle.

they have no ties to sonoma county. and yesterday was a remembrance day for hundreds who came out to a ceremony to honor the fire victims and first responders. abc news has the story. >> reporter: bagpipes play to honor a community still grieving. >> all of us were tested, the community, the fire service, law enforcement. >> reporter: this was a day of remembrance, a chance for sonoma county ore reflect on what was lost. >> i don't know what it is like to lose a loved one but they will be dealing with that for a long time. >> reporter: this man got his family out and grabbed one photo album. >> as i grabbed it out, i

realized it was empty. we thought we had all the time in the world to put pictures in the photo album. >> getting my children out safely was emotional. >> reporter: angelique made this sign to thank first responder who is put their lives on the line. >> without them, our city would be gone. >> reporter: throughout the ceremony, the first rang the bell 42 times for those lives lost. nancy pelosi promises swift federal funds for victims. >> so many people share in their loss and pray for them, but more than that, they will act upon it. >> reporter: a company sending herself back

where a group is up homes. the foundation of this home was damaged. >> they have done a tremendous amount of stuff. we got a new furnace. all new concrete in front of the house because it was buckled. they are building a deck. we are just overwhelmed. >> rebuilding silicon valley focuses on helping veterans, seniors and people with disabilities. and they are getting some of that work done before this season's rains come in. good point. after all the warm weather thinking you are going to stay dry, not the case. we are looking at the forecast.

physical therapy monolice a thomas beltran. they posted these pictures of the s.w.a.t. team using a drone and canine team yesterday afternoon to go inside the home, but beltran was not there. abc 7 news was in the gardens neighborhood where officers thought beltran was. he's accused of beating up his girlfriend yesterday morning. paramedics treated her at the scene. our media partner "the east bay times" says beltran has a violent criminal history and active warrants. now to the world series, the

dodgers won game four last night, but much of the focus was not on the game, instead it was in the dugout where houston astros' had a player that made a racially charged gesture. abc 7 news reporter linda lopez has more. >> there is no excuse or explanation to make that type of behavior acceptable. >> reporter: the cuban-born first baseman pulling on the corners of his eyes during houston's 5-3 win friday night. he also used a derogatory term in spanish to refer to darvish who was born in japan. he immediately apologized saying he didn't mean to offend him. he later cesaid he apologized t all those for his

spend some time with some of the houston astros before the game. her goal is to throw out the first pitch at every major league ballpark. she first did it in 2015 at an orioles game in baltimore. we'll have highlights from the game coming up in sports. and the nfl players coalition is trying to set up a meeting to discuss protest over injustice and the league's response. espn reports colin kaepernick, roger goodell and bob mcnare were invited to a meeting tomorrow. kaepernick is the first player to kneel or sit in direct protest of racial injustice. and recently mcnare has been criticized about his comment about the protest. but he says, quote, we can't have the inmates running the prison. while the players coalition says they want the league to act and listen to the grievances.

and ticket sales yesterday was donated to help those of the north bay who were affected by the wildfires. the deltas played in front of the sold out crowd. more than 4,000 fans helped families who lost homes or money. >> you can do some good things. and those are people affected by the fires but don't have access to fema and some of the other federal support. so we thought, why not, let's do something nice for them. >> the team lost last night but still qualified for the play years. the semifinal game is one week from todd. happening today, it is your last chance to check out the pleasanton harvest festivals is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00

celebrating halloween or any holiday for that matter takes on extra meaning when you are born needing special care. abc 7 news was at sutter health california pacific medical center in san francisco for the annual nicu halloween party. kids from infants to teenagers dressed up to have holiday fun including playing games and face painting. most were born prematurely and spent the first few months of their lives in intensive care. >> one of my favorite things of all the days is when families are currently in the intensive care unit and come down to see all the students they have to look forward to when dealing an infant.

. welcome back, everyone. we are starting with a look at the weather with meteorologist lisa argen. >> it is cool and foggy outside with temperatures in the 50s. a few areas in the north bay with the worst visibility with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s from cloverdale to santa rosa. 54 in oakland. good morning to you in fremont and livermore. livermore is at three miles. looking at the golden gate bridge, slower warming today in the 50s around the bay. by noontime at the coast. 70 inland. by the afternoon, the upper 70s and low to mid-60s around the bay should do it. we're looking at continued cool weather. but then we have some wet weather to talk about. we'll time it out in my accuweather seven-day forecast coming up. lisa, thank you. breaking this morning, firefighters in san francisco say one person is dead after a house fire near mount

this fire began at a two-story ho home. firefighters were able to contain it a short time ago at 6:00 this morning. the cause of the blaze is under investigation. and developing news, the first arrest in the russia collusion investigation could come tomorrow. reports friday said federal investigators filed their first charges. gloria riviera has reaction from washington. >> reporter: president trump spending the day at his golf club in virginia, even after the information came about the first charges in the russian investigation. the president has yet to report to reports that a federal grand jury approved the charges in robert mueller's investigation.

with an indictment and arrest possibly coming as early as monday, sources say. the spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment. so far no reports of exactly what the charges may be. those indictments are reportedly still sealed under if this was at the d.c. courthou courthouse, it would be sealed. >> our position hasn't changed since day one. >> reporter: mueller was appointed special counsel in may. the main part of his investigation is focusing on russia's interfeernrence in the 2016 election. he's been dealing with the financial dealings with a number of key trump financers including

way. it is into thursday and friday things get really interesting. we're going to add in wet weather. the early call has us getting anywhere from perhaps a quarter to an inch of rain out there. as we look outside right now, san francisco, temperatures are typical in the low 50s. and we are looking at the fog active as an insulating blanket out there near santa rosa. but we have the 40s into the east bay. we have the gray sky. it won't last. it will scour back. and we'll see 70 degrees by noontime. visibility is a loma. it is 53 in the city. 56 in mountain view. 57 in san jose. and in the north bay, temperatures in the 40s, but not as cool as it could get. a little sun here in santa cruz.

we'll see a little sun off the marine county coast for the time being before the fog pushes back in. 50 in novato. this is a beautiful picture getting brighter. you can see the fog off there in mount diablo. the cooling continues with a spectacular day for halloween, dry and seasonal. a late pattern this week lasting into the first portion of your weekend next weekend. it's a one-impact storm friday night lasting through the day on saturday with on and off downdower powers. we'll start the animation 7:00 friday morning with showers. then the rain pushes in friday night. the evening commute could be slower and impacted. then saturday morning, a good day to sleep in with temperatures cool, breezy winds and rainy conditions saturday night. we're looking at the rain pulling out of the north bay, taking its time to push into the sierra nevada.
