people scrambling for safety. >> i was going down the street. i saw a group of women and and d children. about a minute to 30 seconds after that, i started hearing gunshots. it was probably five to ten gunshots. one after another, one after another. >> the suspect is now in custody. >> he exited the vehicle brandishing two handguns. the uniform police officer assigned to the first precinct confronted the subject and shot him in the abdomen. >> emergency response officials are taking away victims on stretchers. authorities have name the suspect as 29-year-old sayfullo saipov from tampa, florida. they're responding to the act of terror. and right now, halloween is

going on as scheduled. >> the san francisco police department released this statement on the new york city terror attack. san francisco public safety agencies are monitoring the incident in new york city and are in communication with our state and federal partners. there are no known threats to san francisco at this time. the statement goes on to say, if you see something, say something. call 911 or talk on a nearby police officer if you witness any suspicious activity. >> and of course, we'll follow this breaking news story. you can get the latest news at any time with a free abc7 news app. and we'll have a complete wrap-up. we're hoping the talk to police in sunnyvale to talk about the officer involved shooting. officers responded to a stabbing on east witnessell drive this afternoon. that's where it happened.
