♪ friday, friday, friday november 3. jessica is enjoying the day off. alexis is on maternity leave. what is here other than us. >> the rain. >> you brought it, mike. >> trying to bring it. trying not to bring it during the morning commute, though. timing is not all that great. we'll take a look at some of the different areas that are getting wet. first with live doppler. the altamont pass. one of our earlier commutes and one of the most busy if you will, or busiest during the early morning. light to moderate rain falling. be careful. that stretches back into the dublin grade down into the sunol grade and up 680 through the san ramone valley. on the richmond side of the bridge you can see the drops there. low to mid-50s this morning. some sprinkles more than likely at 4:00 with 59 to 64. and you can see by 7:00 more widespread rain is starting to show up. temperatures 58 to 60. here is another area where we

have light rain falling, the bay bridge toll plaza. >> that commute looks good at the bay bridge there with no metering lights yet. a nice steady stream of traffic. we do have reports westbound 80 at powell street of a stalled vehicle in the middle lanes, so heads up on that. some cars are coming in hot there and we don't want to have it be anything major so hopefully they'll get that pushed out of the way. slowing up over the altamont pass with rain coming down. we do have a solo spinout near alexander approaching the golden gate bridge not in lanes but is up against the guardrail there and we do have a sig alert with this. a vehicle versus a semi. the vehicle caught fire. only the left lane is getting by eastbound near pedrick between dixon and davis and the sig alert in effect until further notice. >> thank you, sue. some scary membersries for sought north bay fire victims.

abc news caught up with one family in sonoma county. this used to be their twtw home. they and 19 other fire victims are staying at koa campground in petaluma and things are not easy. >> the wind blew today and scared me because the wind was blowing so fast that night. >> 70-mile-an-hour winds blew the fire from napa to santa rosa that october night. emotions can run high when the weather changes these days. the family spending the night in their camper. today they say they're going to move to a hotel. an update on the cleanup in the north bay fires. the environmental protection agency says they are finished with one-third of destroyed sonoma county homes. >> beach, propane tanks, even ammunition. the epa says contract workers picked up more than 8,300 containers from over 7,000 properties. after the hazardous waste is

complete, they will clear debris and foundations from burn sites. now to a warning for north bay fire victims, police say they are receiving numerous reports of people posing as fema representatives a. real agent will only conduct a visual inspection of your damage and will have official badges and i.d.s. if they ask for any bank accounts or social security numbers, it is an impostor and you should report it to the federal trade commission. we have a link to do that at abc7news.com. menlo park is grieving the loss of three teens killed in a car crash on halloween night. ricardo torres, andrew gonzales both 19 and matthew cruz. torres and gonzales were part of the fire explorer program. cruz's dad works for the district. the three friends shared an extremely deep bond. they were out for a ride when their car careened down an

three men robbed a u.p.s. truck parked outside an apple store. you can see where it is near winston drive and 20th avenue. officials say the thieves made off with 313 phones. so do the math. $370,000. there is so much documentation on these phones a sergeant assigned to the case says it was the fattest police report he's ever seen. the people who planned to pick up their preordered phones at phone. the thieves, though, are still on the loose. all right. we're seeing some radar returns down in the south bay. you can see the evergreen, alum rock back to willow green, san jose proper so watch out for some wetness developing on the streets and the santa cruz mountains. it looks like 17 could be a little wet and 101 down to gilroy. this is coming out of the south

so the santa cruz mountains will be a little wet most of the day today with sprinkles to light rain. look what the cloud cover and extra moisture, we're up to 13 degrees warmer this morning. we'll start our inland, east bay neighborhoods. even 60, the warm spot in concord. we have 59 san jose. oakland 55. 58 in san carlos and mountain view. dress for 55 in fair field. 54 in novato. san francisco, 57. a look at san rafael. you think of the north bay as getting wet first. with this storm coming in from the south you're pretty dry right now. waves of light rain on the bay today so caution there. caution if you're going to be out exercising. it could be wet from time to time and breezy at our beaches. as far as temperatures today, we'll have about 60 to 64 degrees. 59 at half moon bay so cooler. a drier and cool breeze tomorrow, 56 in san francisco to about 64 in concord. and for sunday, temperatures about the same, even drier than

saturday. i'll show you an hour by hour look at today's rain and how much you should expect in your neighborhood. here's sue. we're going to the berkeley curve in the mcarthur maze. we have, if you look closely at your screen, emergency lights right there at the top of the screen. that is an accident that's pushed to the right-hand shoulder right at the berkeley curve in the eastbound 80 degrees. it's not blocking a lane and is in the reverse commute. hopefully they'll get that out of lanes as quickly as possible. back to the dixon area where we still have a sig alert. it was an earlier semi with an accident with a car. the car caught fire. only still the left lane getting by eastbound 80 near pedrick and they hope to have that clear. chp still has a sig alert in effect there. solo spinouts are the thing this morning due to slick roads. the only thing i can suggest is that you just slow down a little bit. we'll check on some of those in a few minutes. >> thank you, sue. the house of cards continues to collapse. the new bombshell allegations against actor kevin spacey.

5:15 on a friday. walnut creek where light rain is now falling and it looks like we'll have chances of light rain all throughout the day and a steadier rain coming at us tonight. your accuweather seven-day forecast just moments away. all right, mike, thank you. on to developing news. president trump says hillary clinton and the democratic national committee violated campaign finance and money laundering laws with the joint fund-raising agreement they signed in 2015. there's no actual evidence of that but there are claims the democratic primary may have been rigged. it comes from an excerpt from a forthcoming book by donna brazile. she says the primary was rigged in clinton's favor but believes no laws were actually violated. senator elizabeth warren of massachusetts gave this one-word answer about last year's primary. >> very quickly, senator, do you agree with the notion it was rigged? >> yes. >> the dnc was quickly running out of money in 2015. brazile says clinton seized

control of the party in exchange for funding. bernie sanders alleged the dnc was not neutral in the primary favoring clinton in its selection of debate times and fund-raising. new details in the sexual assault scandal surrounding actor kevin spacey. now eight people who currently work or worked on the hit netflix show "house of cards" say spacey created a toxic environment on set through a pattern of sexual harassment. the group called the actor's behavior predatory which included nonconsensual touching and crude comments. one former production assistant tells cnn spacey sexually assaulted him during one of the show's early seasons. in her first sitdown interview since the fall on live television, talk show host wendy williams is opening up on "gma." this video went viral. she started slurring her words, stumbled, fell, and hit her head. she resumed the show after an extended commercial break and paramedics were called to the show and told her she was dehydrated. williams says through it all she

most commercials show people christmas or holiday shopping in snow. us, we think more of it as rain for holiday shopping. maybe that puts you in the spirit. that will be better this evening when it becomes steadier. it's scattered across the north bay. it's not causing any debris flows but could be helping tamp out whatever is still smoldering in the north bay. it stretches back into south santa rosa, rohnert park, petaluma and back towards, say,, novato and eventually up to more rain into petaluma and also sonoma and over to napa. so scattered light rain is developing this morning, moving through just about all of our neighborhood. in fact, you can see it. we've had about 0.05 in oakland. bay bridge toll plaza glistening with the sheen of earlier light rain. scattered sprinkles to light rain today. not a steady rain that comes in tonight through tomorrow morning. it will be mild again tonight and sunday's storm fizzles but still going to be wet wednesday. a look from 7:00 to 9:00 all the

risk in san jose, abc 7 news is on rock springs drive where they are building a flood barrier and three foot tall wall. it's so important because thousands of people had to be evacuated from their homes in february when run-off caused the creek to overflow its banks. the aim is to finish that work by the end of december. it is 5:33 and happening right now the potential for wet weather is not stopping people from lining up outside of apple stores to get their hands on the new iphone x. employees are getting ready, checking the lock on the door at the bottom. the man on the right of your screen has been there since tuesday. oh, the door is opening but just for those. the store will open at 8:00. this is on university avenue in palo alto. some fans tell us they do this before every single iphone launch. they're dedicated that way. they're dedicated that way. the iphone x starts $999.

a new poll just released in the past 30 minutes finds 60% of americans say president trump's tax plan favors the wealthy including six in ten of the wealthy themselves. yesterday house republicans along with the president released the tax plan that seeks to simplify the tax code and reduce corporate rates. the current seven to just four. the bill also maintains the top marginal rate at just under 40%. it would permanently reduce the corporate tax rate from 35% to 20%. the abc news/"washington post" poll finds 50% of americans oppose the plan. 33% support it. on to developing news now. isis claiming responsibility for tuesday's terror attack in new york city. details are emerging will the suspect, 29-year-old sayfullo saipov.

one neighbor took this photo in front of his building on october 22nd. you can see the home depot rental truck there. prosecutors say saipov used it to do a dry run of his attack. he confessed he use that had truck to try to kill as many people as possible in the name of isis. eight people were killed when they were mowed down by the truck on a bike path. >> barriers at intersections that cause the manhattan bike path where tuesday's terror attack happened. the blocks are intended to prevent vehicles from driving on the path. they will add barricades. a programming note, abc news will have much more on the new york city terror attack tonight in a special edition of "20/20." diane sawyer and "20/20" have spent more than a year investigating how isis targets and recruits young people. that's at 10:00 p.m. isis in america. happening today president trump is leaving on his first official visit to asia. the 12-day trip will take him to five countries including japan, south korea and china.

she may be, you are asked to call the gilroy or hollister police departments. happening today the san francisco police commission is expected to decide whether to arm officers with tasers. that controversial issue has been brought up several times before and has failed. groups say they are concerned the tasers will be used disproportionately against minorities and people who are homeless. they say tasers would reduce the number of police shootings by giving officers a less lethal option. tonight's special meeting scheduled to begin at city hall at 5:00 p.m. a warning from stanford after a woman says she was grabbed on campus. the university says a female student report add man grabbed her waist and wrist as she was walking just before 1:00 a.m. yesterday. she was able to pull away and call police. an officer searched the area but couldn't find the suspect. berkeley police are asking for your help finding three people responsible for attacks at an anti-marxist rally. they've released photos of suspects who punched, kicked, and struck people with

improvised weapons. more than a dozen people have been arrested. tomorrow some seafood lovers may be able to eat dungeness crab for dinner. weather and sea conditions could pro-vent sport boats from setting out into the ocean. officials say the crab is safe to eat. high levels of acid have only been found in crabs between ft. bragg and crescent city. the season begins november 15th. it's very mild this morning. the exception, los gatos at 51 and morgan hill at about 52 degrees. you can see mid to upper 50s about everywhere else until you get to sebastopol. right back into the south bay where we're seeing a pretty nice shield of rain. edenville, coyote, down to morgan hill, san jose. if you live in the area, let me know if it's making it down to the ground and what kind of clip it is. we'd like to warn everybody

heading out there soon. sandwiched between highway 4 and 580 rain in the east bay. this is heading up to the north so all of 4 will get wait if not already wet right now. up in the north bay we have rain here from the west. that's what the cold front who says it will side swipe us. that will mean a steadier rain out around fairfield, dixon and in the central valley. you can see a couple hundredths of an inch does. there's a few puddles there. poor for your commute especially this morning. i think our best chance of widespread rain is this morning. nothing extreme on the water. stay inside if you don't want to get wet. noon today.

her a ride home from a party. los angeles police are investigating allegations about weinstein in 2015. they are investigating a report by an italian actress. >> police arrested three teenagers after a string of laptop thefts in the east bay. the thefts happened at starbucks and other businesses in alameda. some of the suspects were caught on surveillance video. all three are 17 years old. one is from alameda. the other two from oakland. police say they are actively expect to make more arrests. hundred hires of workers in the area. a job fair in richmond. with so many gifts ordered online amazon is where many applicants are hoping to work for the holidays. amazon is looking to hire 800 employees in the bay area to work in warehouses and sorting centers. >> i've heard it's much easier and faster and your time goes by
