reason to believe that anybody else was involved. abc news reporter picks up our coverage from sutherland springs, texas. >> reporter: tuesday we're hearing stories of survival from those who lived through the worst mass shooting in texas history. >> he was shooting people while he was walking in. >> reporter: roseanne solis, recovering from a bullet wound, hit and played dead as she watched the shooten spree remembering devin kelley's chilling words, everybody dies. >> he was going through the rows to see who was shot and who wasn't. >> reporter: we're learning more about the shooter's violent history. the former air force airman pleaded guilty to repeatedly punching, kicking and choking his then-wife. another more disturbing charge of striking his 11-month-old step son on the head own body with the force likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm. that criminal conviction should have stopped him from being able to buy the murder weapon. the air force admits they never gave that information to the fbi

now giving us this live look. there it is. tracing the plane which is going to take off any minute now. abc 7 news is onboard the flight. that's the good news. the bad news, somehow amy hollyfield and i didn't get tickets. but at least she got to go to the preparty. hi, amy. >> reporter: i did get to go to the party, and reggie, there was a lot of polyester there. the flight attendants even pulled the old uniform the from the 70s out of the moth balls and put them on today so they could really recreate that first 747 flight. and from what we saw at the gate, it's going to be quite a party onboard. progress took a pause today at sfo. this '70s came out. so did the memories. as aviation enthusiasts gathered to bid farewell to the 747 airplane. >> i was born when the 747 was first being developed and built. i've always loved the queen of the sky. just the most beautiful airplane in the sky. and the kicker for me really was it's my 50th birthday.

>> reporter: it's because of progress that this plane has to go. united ceo says the 747 is just too expensive to maintain. >> it is time for it to move on. such a great new fleet of aircraft coming that are much more fuel efficient, much more modern, contemporaorarcontempor. time passes. we all have to pass along with it unfortunately. >> reporter: the captain of today's last flight says the plane is like your old recliner chair, you admire your new fancy one but just not the same. >> one of the most comfortable riding, easy flying, great job that we have here at the airline. >> reporter: he's having a hard time saying good-bye. so are these passengers who threw quite a party for this plane. thomas lee even brought a sterkt sh certificate showing he was on the 747's first flight. today he'll be on the last. >> to be on the last flight is a real honor 47 years later. it's a terrific, wonderful airplane. it's really sad to see it retire. but we're thrilled to be here and participating in this great experience.

and a job fair will kick off soon to help thousands of workers displaced by the north bay fires. graton resort and casino in rohnert park is hosting the event today from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. hopes to help people get back on their feet and rebuild the business community. the road to recovery for the north bay will be a long one. we know there are still so many emotional stories to share. tomorrow, abc 7 news is dedicating a day to the north bay wildfires, one month later. we're going to have special coverage in every newscast and online at abc7news.com. happening now, former first lady michelle obama finished up her appearance in san francisco, he's a headliner of the dreamforce event put on by salesforce. abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson is live for us. tiffany? >> reporter: hi, reggie, yes, former first lady michelle obama wrapped up her keynote a few moments ago in front of thousands of people, many of

whom waited in line for hours to the chance to see her. i was in the room when she gave the speech, very off the cuff and candid. she got the crowd laughing and cheering at least a dozen times. salesforce ceo marc benioff led the conversation with michelle obama and dozens of local schoolchildren were seated in the front rows. they received quite a bit of attention from the former first lady. after the hour-long discussion, one woman told me that she had goose bumps. a man says he took away the lesson you need to start change with yourself before you can lead external change. another listener called the talk simply amazing. >> i thought it was fantastic how she was able to focus on a range of issues with the ceo and i think what stood out most to me was how they integrated conversations about balancing work life with family values and integrating that into corporate culture. which i think this is a perfect setting for that. so, yeah, i loved it. >> reporter: mrs. obama is not the only former first lady to address the

it's 11:30, you're taking a live look at sky 7 over sfo. that is the united flight that is going to be the final 747 flight for united. it is going to take off from sfo and go to honolulu interfacial airport. they renamed it the friendship today after the very first 747 united flew from sfo to hawaii. that was in the '70s. a lot of people dressed up in '70s outfits today. hope they have a great flight. new developments in the scandal over hollywood mogul harvey weinstein. a bombshll article in "the new yorker" claims he hired private investigators to gather information about his accusers. according to the article he hired those investigators to discredit as much information as they could about the accusers before the sexual harassment allegations are made public. "the new yorker" claims two investigators were from a

the city's one and only marijuana dispensary. recreational pot will become legal in california january 1st. and there are key races elsewhere in the country. in new jersey, voters will elect a new governor to chris christie. virginia, hoping to put ed gillespie in the governor's mansion. utah, would like to see the seat occupied by jason chaffetz. new york, mayor bill de blasio is likely headed toward re-election. new this morning a big step forward in the race to put driverless cars on the road. waymo is now test driving cars without anyone in the driver's seat. waymo is a self-driving car company created by google. it tweeted out this demo video this morning. starting today, waymo is only equipping their vehicles with an employee in the back seat. it's been working on self-driving cars since 2009. waymo is in a race with apple, uber and lyft just to name a few to put the first driverless car

the reason they picked that route is because that's the first flight that it ever took for united. and this is really the end of an era. after united, delta still has 747s but they're going to fly their last international flight very soon. so once delta does that, that's it. as far as american carriers flying this plane. that's how you say international flight, when i think of a 747, i always thought of wealthy people being taken to very cool destinations when i first saw the 747. i was like you when i first saw it, i was like, what, it's a two-story airplane? >> i know. >> get out. >> that's what's great about the 747, you can always tell because it has the hump. the second floor is only in the front section. >> for the privileged. >> for the privileged. which, yeah, that's where they have their polaris class which is first class. this particular flight, what i understand, the people at the top level didn't know until they got to the gate. they were going to do a raffle -- >> no kidding. >> -- to decide who was going to

tonight. now, the extended, we've got some chances of rain. it will be on the light to moderate side. for today, well, i guess you can wipe that by the wayside. 60s not good anymore. it's going to be probably 67 or 68. there's a little bit of a localized offshore breeze right there bringing you the warmth. 64 to about 69 degrees. for the rest of us around the bay and inland. there's the gorgeous shot of the lack of low clouds. you could see, look at that, alcatraz, golden gate bridge and marin headlands. noon, 64, mild for most of us. 4:00, 58 at the coast. the sea breeze will stop later on. 64 for the rest of us. 50 to 55 at 9:00 with the clouds streaming in. won't be quite as chilly at 12:00. temperatures around 50 to 53 degrees. tonight's temperatures, mid 40s to mid 50s because of the cloud cover. what we wake up to at 4:00 in the morning, drizzle near the coast. maybe scattered light rain developing across the extreme north bay by the end of the

morning commute then we'll have scattered sprinkles, scattered showers through 4:00 and watch light to moderate, light green moderate yellow, even orange rain move into the north bay. that's pretty much where it stays in a steady nature through the evening commute then overnight it's going to come through the rest of our neighborhoods and down into the south bay by 4:00 thursday morning. by 7:00 to 9:00, it's leaving. then we'll have some scattered showers for the rest of thursday. with the best chance across the north bay. so the rainfall potential there, about .015 inch of rain, quarter to half inch around the bay. about a third to 2/3 an inch across the north bay. here's what i'm looking at. as far as my accuweather seven-day forecast. so that storm's also a 1. it will be a little breezy. those will taper by thursday. there's a slight chance of a shower friday morning. especially across the north bay. veteran's day is slolooking fantastic. sunday night into monday another light storm is on the way. reggie? >> appreciate the warning, mike. thank you. now today's morning money

report, a savvy shopper says he turned his side hustle, reselling items from clearance racks, into a successful company and claims any of us can do it. his name is ryan graham. he says his business now generates almost $4 million in revenue. the former accountant started by buying sale items at walmart, target, toys "r" us and used the amazon seller app to compare them to online prices. the 28-year-old says he bought low and sold high. >> i was able to get that to about $1,000 a month in profit working ten hours a week. i do think it's something that anyone can do if you're willing to put in the work. >> grant says he usually takes people a few months to figure out what sells and how to factor in those shipping costs but once that's done, he thinks you could make 1,000 to 2,000 bucks a month doing this part time. may no longer need to make a trip to the pharmacy to get your prescriptions. cvs is going to begin free same-day delivery next month. the service will be offered first in manhattan. it will expand to the rest of the u.s. next year.
