doctors have said the 27-year-old had the worst case of cte ever seen in someone his age. hernandez hanged himself in prison earlier this year while serving a life sentence for murder. the doctors believe the brain disease contributed to hernandez becoming a convicted killer. >> we can say collectively that individuals with cte and cte of this severity have difficulty with impulse control, you know, decision-making, inhibition of impulses of aggression. >> cte is believed to be caused by repeated head trauma. dr. mckee says preventing those repeated hits is one of the biggest difficulties in keeping football safe. she says harm is done to the brain even while wearing a helmet. >> it gets a sense we're just at the tip of learning more about this. all right. now to the case in new york involving a young boy who died tragically at his preschool. fire department officials say the preschool did not call 911. the 3-year-old suffered an

allergic reaction after eating a grilled cheese sandwich. >> the boy's parents say the school knew about his allergy. he was rushed to the hospital. she took the boy to the hospital and made a painful call to the boy's father. >> got on the phone and i called. the same gentleman picked up the phone. you need to get to the hospital right away. my wife gets on the phone, she's like you need to get here. he's not breathing. the only thing i can do is hang up and go. and when i got to the hospital it was too late. >> several city agencies are looking into what happened and the preschool has been shut down. an fbi supervisor is in trouble with his bosses after an exotic dancer stole his gun while he was drinking. >> robert manson's weapon, his rolex watch, and some cash were taken from his charlotte, north carolina, hotel room. according to the "new york

diane. after spending several days meeting one on one with key u.s. allies president trump gets down to the summit portion of this 13-day trip. he is going to be spending the next several days in very large summit sessions here at apec in vietnam. but there's one meeting not on his schedule that's getting a lot of attention. president trump arriving here in da nang at the apec summit and trade and economic growth are on the top of his agenda. leaders here in the region are anxious to see what the president has to say and what his america-first policies mean for them. this is in the wake of him pulling the united states out of the trans-pacific partnership, a key regional trade agreement. >> we seek robust trade relationships, rooted in the principles of fairness and reciprocity. when the united states enters into a trading relationship with other countries, or other

peoples, we will, from now on, expect that our partners will faithfully follow the rules just like we do. >> reporter: diane and kendis, it is a very packed 24 hours here in da nang for president trump. but one thing not on his schedule, a meeting with russian president vladimir putin. just last week the president said he would be expecting to meet with putin and he wanted to get his help on north korea but the white house says scheduling conflicts are going to prevent that. diane and kendis, spokeswoman sarah sanders did say it's possible and it's likely that they could run into each other and say hello, so stay tuned. maybe they'll see each other in a hallway at some point over the next 24 hours. >> who knows. >> informal chat. >> absolutely. and speaking of sarah sanders, i see here that the white house is weighing in on that controversy back at home about the alabama republican senate candidate roy moore, being accused of sexual misconduct ahead of the special election. what is the president and white house saying right now?

>> yeah. the president is, of course, thousands of miles away, but he can't ignore that swelling controversy back home. sarah sanders told reporters if these allegations about roy moore are true he should do the right thing and step aside. she said the president also believes that an allegation that took place years ago should not be allowed to destroy a person's life. of course this is going to be something that is going to be hanging over republicans over the next couple of days as they wait and see what roy moore decides to do. >> many others will be waiting to hear that as well. karen, thanks. let's get roy moore's take now on those allegations. abc's serena marshall has those details. >> reporter: he's known in alabama as the ten commandments judge. but new explosive allegations that the gop senate candidate roy moore propositioned teen girls decades ago. in an exclusive "washington post" investigation, four women say they had romantic encounters with or propositions from moore in the late '70s.

to phoenix where it's in the 80s today. apple in the meantime has released a fix for the i-glitch. customers complained about the auto correct issue that caused the letter "i" to change to an "a" or question mark. or an exclamation point. the new version of ios clears up the problem and also corrects an issue that caused siri to stop working. consumer advocacy group says target is selling fidget spinners that contain dangerously high levels of lead and wants the chain to pull them from the shelves. target is responding saying the fidget spinners are not toys and target considers them general use products and are clearly marked for users 14 and older. police in arkansas advising shoppers to wipe down their shopping carts but not because of germs. they say drugs like fentanyl or similar substances can enter your system just by contact with your hands. the leechville police department recommends you use the wipes usually found at the front of most grocery stores. exposure to fentanyl can be

claims that republican alabama senate candidate roy moore preyed on teen girls more than 30 years ago. >> i believe in the second amendment. >> reporter: moore who famously flashed his gun at a rally is a hard-line, conservative christian. >> homosexual conduct should be illegal. >> reporter: according to a report in "the washington post" four women say they had romantic encounters with or propositions from moore when he was in his mid 30s and they were teenagers, including one who was just 14 years old in 1979. leigh corfman, now 53, tells the "post" she met moore when he offered to watch her during her mother's child custody hearing. at the time moore was an assistant district attorney. she says he took her to his house on two other occasions and on the second visit he took off her shirt and pants and removed his clothes he touched her over her bra and underpants and guided her hand to it touch him over his underwear. she says she remembers thinking i wanted it over with i wanted out. she asked moore to take her home

and he did. corfman's mother confirmed her daughter's account which she says she learned about in the mid-90s to abc news. moore calls the allegations by the "post" completely false and a desperate political attack, with his campaign adding it is no surprise that the democratic party and the country's most liberal newspaper would come up with a fabrication of this kind. moore was nicknamed the ten commandments judge after refusing to remove a ten commandments monument from his courthouse. >> immorality, abortion, sodomy, sexual per version sweep our land. >> reporter: outrage from fellow republicans. >> if there is any shred of truth to the allegations he needs to step aside. >> reporter: vice president pence's office released a statement saying he found the allegations in the story disturbing and believes, if true, this would disqualify anyone from serving in office. even if moore decides not to run his name would still be printed on the ballots and absentee ballots have been mailed out.

five female comedians and performers are accusing him of lewd conduct without their consent. the premier of his new movie was canceled after the story broke and hbo has removed his past projects from its on-demand services and even canceled his appearance at an upcoming benefit show. no comment so far from the comedian. president trump is in vietnam this morning where world leaders are gathering from the apec economic summit. he's expected to deliver a major speech on trade and a talk of a possible meeting on the sidelines with russian president vladimir putin but the white house says there will be no formal meeting because of scheduling conflicts. as the president left beijing, he praised the chinese president in a tweet and described their meetings on trade and north korea as productive. back in washington, robert mueller's russia investigation is seeping further into the president's inner circle. the adviser stephen miller and the president's long-time bodyguard revealed details about his boss's trip to moscow and told congressional investigators he turned down an offer to send russian women to the president's hotel room.

here's abc's brian ross with the details. >> reporter: a former new york city cop keith schiller was the bodyguard at trump's side for years. he followed his boss to the white house and even hand delivered the president's letter firing fbi director james comey. we are learning what schiller says he saw on a trip to moscow with trump in 2013 for the miss universe pageant. that trip to moscow figured prominently in the uncorroborated dossier prepared for the clinton campaign, which include allegations that trump staying at the ritz-carlton hotel in moscow, employed a number of prostitutes. congressional investigators say schiller told them a well connected russian businessman offered him five women for trump but he rejected the offer, believing it was a joke and never told trump about it until several hours later. trump has denied the salacious allegations, saying he knew there were cameras hidden in the rooms. >> i was in russia years ago

right across from where the church was located. the stranger whose truck that was that he jumped into, johnnie langendorff took this video. and the church where the attack took place is going to be demolished. the pastor says it would be too painful to worship in the place where 26 people were killed. he plans to build a memorial on the site and build a new church elsewhere on the property. the kentucky doctor accused of attacking senator rand paul has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge. dr. rene boucher is accused of tackling paul from behind after the senator stepped off his lawn mower. a judge ordered boucher to stay away from paul. the two have been neighbors for 17 years. and an aide to senator paul says he was the victim of a violent attack by a disturbed person. the senator is recovering from six broken ribs. don't expect to see much white smoke wafting from the vatican any time soon. pope francis has decided the vatican will no longer sell cigarettes in its duty-freep shop giving up an estimated $11 million a year in profit.
