>> the shooting started just after 8:00 tuesday morning and lasted about 45 minutes. the suspected gunman officials say was killed by law enforcement. law enforcement has not identified the shooter but says he has had prior run-ins with the law. there was an incident yesterday and says he has a history of a neighborhood dispute but tuesday's shootings appear to be random. >> right now we have no known motive. >> officials say there are ten shootings survivors. they stay gunman used a semi-automatic sxrifl two handguns during the shootings. >> we are waiting on a news conference with more details. abc7 news reporter he is in tehama county. he spoke to a neighbor and said he called the sheriff before about him. the sheriff said there was nothing they could do until the

companies fighting a lawsuit over lead. san francisco, oakland and santa clara county. in 2013 a judge ruled that paint companies must pay for more than $1 billion in clean-up. today it was limited to homes built before 1951. the san francisco supervisors have decided to continue debate on regulations for selling recreational marijuana. live at city hall, the board just made the decision. >> they can. in fact, the supervisors apparently having a very difficult time establishing a regulatory framework for people wanting to get into the legal recreational marijuana business. what they decided instead to do

table the discussion. >> all right. thanks. the parents of a 10-year-old boy who flew off a water slide in dublin have filed a lawsuit. they said the suit also targets the contractor who built the slide and the state of california. this is new video that we just obtained that was taken by jamie's family. >> he came to me and said mama, ma marks come watch me. we saw jamie come down. i'll never forget the split second where we saw it happening. >> the mother of the 10-year-old who hydroplaned off the slide last may at the city owned and operated the wave water park, said her son still has nightmares and is recovering from his injuries. they've now filed a lawsuit against dublin, the contractors in the state of california, asking for $2.5 million in punitive damages so this doesn't happen again. dublin said back in may, the cal

precedent for other victims in other cases. uber has been hit with a new federal lawsuit. two women want the ride hailing giant to take action to prevent its drivers from sexually harassing riders. >> this is the lawsuit filed by the new york city. bits 58 pages long and sikh class action status on behalf of all women who have been harassed or sexually assaulted by uber drivers. twitter is full of have posted, typing in me too. others have posted videos of alleged harassment inside cars. in june, this man was arrested, accused of driving a drunk passenger to a hotel truman sexually assault her. and recently, a bay area teen sued uber alleging that back in

other locations will be around 50. we expect widespread had 6:00 tomorrow morning, this will be the picture. most of the south bay and east bay will be dry. had it means wet pavement, wet roadways. it will lift a little bit for a brief zpim then drop back down and most of the north bay will be getting pounded with moderate to heavy rainfall between noon and 3:00 p.m. so the afternoon commute will get to a very wet start. now in the next few hours, between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., we will see the heavier rain moving south. parts of the peninsula to the east bay. as far east as fairfield. then between 6:00 and many 9:30, you will see the heaviest rain

through central part. see the areas of orange and red? they represent the steadiest and heaviest rain. then finally, down to the south bay. the heaviest rain will be falling about 11:00 tomorrow night. that will continue into thursday morning. so not only will the evening commute be a challenging one. it will get off to a rough start as well. and then widely scattered showers by midday on thursday. and by midday on thursday, we expect rainfall totals to be generally one to two inches. a lot more than that in the wetter locations. and we have a wind advisory from 1:00 the 3:00 a.m. to the bay area hills. we'll see gusts to 50 miles an hour in the higher elevations. strong enough on knock down trees and power lines. and things to watch for. a high concern for flooding and downed trees. moderate concerns, mud slides, urban and creek flooding. here's a look at the highs

random. i have to say that this incident, as tragic and bad as it is, could have been so much worse if wasn't for the quick thinking and staff at our elementary school. because there was a series of gunshots, about a quarter mile away, that alerted he that staff, and they went on an immediate lockdown without having to be told to do so by law enforcement. after that series of gunshots, the shooter literally took his vehicle and rammed the fence and gate. entered the grounds on foot with a semi-automatic rifle that had multiround clip. he was wearing a load bearing vest he that you sometimes see

soldiers wear, that have the clips embed in the chest. and he literally, because it appears, because he couldn't make access to any of the rooms, that they were locked. that he gave it you will and reentered the vehicle and then went on his killing spree and took it to the streets of rancho tehama. i want to say that the quick action of those school officials, there is no doubt in my mind based on the video that i saw, saved countless lives and children. so i want to say this. we have positively identified the shooter. i can't tell you his name because we have rules that require us to notify his next of kin. i can tell you that this started up on bobcat road.

it's been an ongoing dispute between he and another lady in january of there year. he was arrested and charged with an assault with a deadly weapon on that person. that person is a deceased victim today and i can't release that person's name yet either. we are currently seeking search he warrants in different locations regarding this case. our investigation is ongoing. i can tell that you no children, let me repeat this because there's their seems to be some confusion. we are not aware of any child that has died as a result of this incident. we do have confirmed five deaths including the suspect. that has not changed. however, i wouldn't be surprised

something to counter tact violence in his city. he just wrapped up his journey. his walk america effort took him from delaware to the bay area over the course of 198 days. first, congratulations. nice to meet you. >> so much to get to. you're obviously inspired. now that you completed it, was it worth it? >> absolutely. i set out on this journey to try to help some of the kids and the inner city of chicago. and we're going to get people some jobs. and i was also hopefully able to inspire some other people along the way to get involvd in the community. >> how much money did you raise? and what lorgss the money go to? >> sure.
