wildfires in sonoma county. the sheriff has identified three more victims including a person 101 years old. the death toll remains the same, 23 in sonoma county. the sheriff also warned that deputies are getting reports of scam artists targeting fire victims. go to abc7news.com to avoid becoming a victim of fraud. new this morning we have learned seven hospital workers in hawaii have been relieved of their duties without pay after an extremely dangerous psychiatric patient escaped and flew here to the bay area. randall saito escaped the hawaii state hospital sunday. he was just captured this past wednesday. those hospital employees are now suspended for at least the next 30 days as an internal investigation is under way. the hawaii state department of health runs the hospital and has said they are evaluating and also correcting their protocols and procedures after this

incident. abc 7 news reporter matt keller was the first reporter to talk to saito in a jailhouse interview. we will have a live report from matt coming up in the next half hour. a milpitas chiropractor has been arrested. a woman reported he inappropriately touched her during an adjustment. they say it happened september 28 at the family chiropractic and natural healing center. she called police a day later. one of the victims of this week's shooting in tehama county says numerous peel wouldn't help her though she had just been shot five times. she was driving her three children to school at the time. >> i decided to just keep on driving to the hospital but my body was going numb and i con hear anything. when i heard my kids cry, i woke myself up again. >> you're going to be outraged. she says that she actually had

to keep crying to keep herself conscious. she stopped three people for help. they all declined. one woman, she says, even told her she didn't want to be late for work. the fourth person she stopped, thank goodness, was a sheriff's deputy. he did help. her 10-year-old was shot twice in the calf. her 7-year-old shot once in the foot. and a 2-year-old had scratches from the shattered glass. as it turns out the gunman is also her neighbor. shocking. rangers investigating the rampage in sutherland springs have served a search warrant on apple according to court records obtained by the san antonio express. they show rangers are seeking files stored on the gunman's e phone, a second mobile phone found near his body, and for files stored in his icloud account. they say devin kelley killed himself after he killed 26 people during sunday's service november 5. santa clara county recorded its first flu related death of the season. health officials are not releasing the person's name, age, or hometown, just that the

individual was under the age of 65. officials say the person had not received the flu shot this year and had other medical conditions that put them at increased risk of severe complications from the flu. expected to approve a settlement with the raiders in an ongoing parking revenue dispute. in april an audit presented to the coliseum board found the team owed as much as $800,000 in parking fees. the audit found they owed $25,000 more per game in the last four years. no word yet on what that settlement entails. new at 6:00, a health alert for anyone who uses energy drinks. the new warning that could have you looking for a new beverage. >> an inside look at the san

welcome back, everyone. breaking news, a major car recall to tell you about. you want to listen up if you own a mitsubishi mirage, recalling small cars because of air bag problems. models just like this one. it does affect the new ones, too. the car company says the air bags may not inflate during a crash and all because of a faulty computer sensor inside the car. the recall covers certain models from 2014 through the brand-new ones, 2018. dealers will reprogram the computer at new cost to owners and the recall expected to start later this month. unclear if there have been any crashes or injuries. the new broadway musical "frozen" opens on broadway soon. before she heads to new york you can see the new elsa in san francisco this week. on friday we teamed up with hoodline to show you what's going on downtown. ♪ let it go let it go ♪ ♪ you'll never see me cry

matt is live in san jose. >> reporter: he said he came here because it was the cheapest ticket. he was a free man for four nights before he was caught in stockton on wednesday. >> it was an act of desperation. >> reporter: randall saito escaped in oahu on sunday. he was acquitted by reason of insanity for the murder of a woman. he was able to take a cab to the honolulu airport, charter a plane to maui and get through tsa and on a plane to san jose. he stayed one night here before taking a taxi to stockton where stayed for three nights. he went to walmart to buy a phone. a cab driver agreed to drive him to reno on wednesday. when they stopped for gas, police swooped in. that's how he did it. but why did he do it? here is what he told me.

the wildfires. pg&e has previously stated in a court filing that a private power line may have started one of the fires. the cause remains under investigation by the state. a pop-up store that provides free clothing and household items to fire victims is closing next week. the santa cruz mountains susceptible to mud slides after our rain. >> officials say that slides can be unpredictable depending on the rain and the wind. crews were along highway 17 during the storm clearing debris and mud from the drains to prevent flooding. they moved from location to location. the rain made for treacherous conditions. >> officials discovered more storm related erosion in the fountaingrove neighborhood badly burned in the wildfires last month. the plastic storm drain that once was there melted away. overall no major problems as a result of yesterday's storm. taking a look at some of the temperature changes from 24 hours ago, they're pretty impressive. up to 13 degrees cooler. make sure you get the heavier coat for you and the kids. let's talk about san francisco. we have some micro climates here. 47 right now in west portal, the financial. 48 in sunny side.
