look at the temperatures, 52 to sunshine. 63 to 68. 62 at the coast. 70 inland at 4:00. and look at that, comfortable evening. the weather will be calm. can't guarantee the roads. 59 to 63. here's sue. >> so far we just have very light conditions. one trouble spot. san mateo bridge is looking great for a 15-minute drive from 880 over to 101. and overall as we mentioned green is great. we don't have any slow traffic out of the central valley, probably slow this morning. this afternoon is another story. a sig alert, emergency guardrail work happening before 4th street. you can see the red sensors popping in there. that is slow traffic. two lanes blocked and there was an overnight crash that caused the guardrail to be broken into and they are fixing it with caltrans.

i am watching developing news from our live desk. an escaped inmate captured in stockton and we have learned the santa clara county sheriff's office plans to provide an update some time later today. we're watching for that. they escaped from the courthouse in palo alto. the two men were in an suv that chp officers tried to pull them over on the interstate 5 yesterday afternoon. after a short chase mcleod was arrested after a walmart. bivens jumped into the driver's seat and drove off. he got away and was last seen driving this 1999 green ford explorer. we have the license plate number, 7 tyy 50. both men are facing an armed

prison sentence. >> thank you, jessica. uber admits it broke california law in trying to conceal a cyber attack that exposed personal information of 57 million customers and drivers. hackers took names and e-mail addresses, even driver's numbers. uber paid them $100,000 to delete the information they stole and keep quiet about the attack. the company says there's no evidence that information was misused. they were required to alert state regulators to the breach. major shake-up at hewlett-packard. meg whitman is stepping down early in the new year. just five months ago she said she planned to stay at the company after uber was widely reported to be considering her as ceo. whitman has been at hpe since 2011. she oversaw the elimination of tens of thousands of jobs. no more marijuana ads on san

francisco muni. its board voted to ban all pot ads on vehicles and shelters. right now there are 130 medical marijuana ads on the sides of buses. they'll be gone once contracts for the ads space expires. muni tells abc 7 news the ban is in response to complaints from riders. the agency also says it wants to remain consistent with muni bans already in place for tobacco, alcohol and firearms. san jose's fire chief announced he is leaving after 25 years to the city. "the mercury news" reports chief curtis jacobson's last day will be december 15th. assistant fire chief robert sapien jr. will be serving as acting fire chief as the city searches for a new chief. >> we are hearing from a san rafael fire of three, who was detained by i.c.e.

here he is just outside the correctional center in elk grove near sacramento. you can see hugo majia there and his wife and children hugging after his release last night. the undocumented construction worker was detained in may when he showed up at travis air force base to work a government construction job. since then mejia's family and complete strangers have been fighting to get him released. >> waiting to see my family is what i want right now. i have to say thank you to everybody. they know me. >> mejia still faces an uphill legal battle as he seeks asylum here in the u.s. he's facing a ninth circuit court of appeals case to determine if i.c.e. actually acted legally or illegally this past spring.

stockton, i guess i should say, northward. there could be some issues with the wet weather. a quick look at what will happen in tahoe the next seven days. sprinkles possible for thanksgiving. it gets breezy saturday, rain turns to snow sunday. monday morning we've got a chance of snow showers and then temperatures finally cool out of the 50s and 60s, back into the 40s. they'll start making snow again. i'm looking at the bay bridge toll plaza behind you there. tell us all about it. you have some slow traffic approaching just in the cash paying lanes, though. so if you can head to the right side of the roadway, the left side looks like a slight delay. if you're traveling from hercules down the 80 corridor into san francisco that includes the bay bridge you're looking at a nice 25-minute drive. if you have to be up this hour at least the traffic is relatively light. you can see just a tiny little bit of slow traffic coming out of tracy but not much like we're used to for this time of the morning and we still have this problem in san francisco.

it is 4:43. fans and celebrities paying tribute to former teen idol david cassidy. he died as a result of complications from dementia yesterday. cassidy rose to fame for his 1970 starring role as keith partridge. his song "i think i love you" spent three weeks on the charts at number one even beating out the beatles' "let it be." he had been in a hospital for organ failure. he was 67 years old. reaction from celebrities has been pouring in all night long. gloria gainer sent this via twitter saying my thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of david cassidy. his role as keith partridge that

we haven't even made it to thanksgiving. i want to talk about the rain potential for saturday night, sunday and monday. i'll give you ann hour by hour look at that up next. some parents are putting out a warning about a popular toy i just found out about this morning. if you're a parent maybe you know about it. they're called fingerlings. some could be fakes. they are small, robotic monkeys. they can also be a unicorn or other animals that wrap around your finger. they move and make noises. they're so popular they're hard to find. some parents say they ordered them from third-party sellers on amazon and walmart.com only to find out they were counter if it. parents say the toys were poorly made and they don't move. >> i'm so out of touch. >> in this case i might be all
