no wlaks the alleged abuse happened nearly 30 years ago. >> david louie is live at the school with details on this story. >> there's no sense how many victims may step forward with allegation of sexual abuse but there is deep hurt for two women who say their complaints were not taken seriously. the school strongly disagrees. >> i was not his first or his last victim. >> she has created a firestorm accusing the leadership of failing to take action after she reported that her spanish teach per allegedly groped her and showed her a picture of a naked woman 27 years ago. >> there's no indication that my report was ever acted upon or that my abuser was ever held accountable. >> the 1991 graduate went public last month in an article she wrote for the "washington post." since then, others have

contacted her sharing their stories of abuse. at least three singled out the same male teacher who retired over a decade ago and has died. another identified only as jane doe confide that had she had been molested by the same teacher while a student. they were frustrated by the reaction of the principal when they tried three times to report him. >> not only did we not get any help shelf dismissed us with stern warnings to be careful about what we say. >> they are demanding the board of directors. to take seriously the legal requirement to report abuse. the school principal's response says in part for anyone to suggest that phs has in any manner condoned any instance of sexual abuse is an outright lie. phs conducted an investigation more than 25 years ago into this matter as well as other claims made today. there is no new information. a petition into all allegations of abuse over the 20-year

reaching a verdict. we know that the defendant is an undocumented immigrant. many of you have asked us what will happen after the trial. >> the attorneys have focused solely on the murder trial. on once did matt gonzalez mention that the defendant was unundocumented immigrant. it happened during opening arguments when he had garcia zarate quickly left the pier after the shooting because he thought he was to be deported. during his campaign, president trump mentioned kate steinle's death as a reason to tighten our borders. once the jury delivers the verdict, it is not a matter of customs enforcement agencies will come the detain him. it is a matter of when. if he is found guilty, he will serve his time in a u.s. state prison. the department of justice will

likely issue an order of removal once he has served that time. if found not guilty of shooting kate steinle, i. krerks agents won't need an order of removal. they have a chance to remove him on the the spot. according to an ice spokesperson, fugitives are detained all the time. he could be deported to mexico immediately or held at a detention center pending a court hearing. he arrived in the u.s. sometimes before 1991, and since then has been deported five times with seven nonviolent felony convictions in arizona, washington, oregon, texas and arizona. meanwhile the steinle family will not be here for the verdict. instead, they will issue a statement. a source has told me regardless of the verdict, the family has said they will not politicize their daughter's death. in san francisco, abc7 news.

today he was granted a pardon. nearly half a million dollars worth of marijuana plants was discovered in a raid. you're looking at what deputies saw when they served the search warrant. they found about 600 plants after getting a tip that pot was being grown illegally inside that home. no one was home when deputies arrived and no arrests have been made. a rather distinct burglary suspect was arrested today. the man you see here is wanted for a break in at the e section court area yesterday morning. you can see the bright red stanford hooded sweatshirt, the blue sweat pablts which appear to have the word wildcats on the left leg. they say he was carrying a large black, gray and turquoise backpack. san francisco police want to warn people about a telephone scam targeting the chinese

american community. officers tell us they are receiving robocalls. an automated voice tells victims a package is waiting for them to pick up and asks them to enter a credit card number. police urge you to call police if that happens. a father and son are being hurt in a shooting rampage. 23-year-old jameswoods ii and his father, james woods senior, are two of the 12 people injured by the gunman. he had to have stournlg remove part of his tongue that was damaged by the bullet and to replace his jaw. >> i'm not worried about them. other families need it more and
