drive times looking good. albany to the maze. southbound 880, fremont down to san jose delay free and 280, everything looks good through the south bay at the peninsula. and a big update coming in to our live desk. the former "today" show co-host matt lauer now finally responding to the sexual misconduct allegations that cost him his job and here is a statement co-host savannah guthrie read on the air. it says in part, quote, there are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain i have caused others by words and actions. to the people i have hurt, i am truly sorry. and lauer goes on to say some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed. more on the complaints against

"variety" said he gave a colleague a sex toy as a present accompanied by an explicit note. another female employee seas lauer dropped his pants in front of her in his office exposing himself. and this morning "the new york times" reports two more women have come forward with claims. one of the women says lauer summoned her to his office in 2001 and had sex with her. she tells "the new york times" she felt helpless because she didn't want to lose her job. >> that's all we kept hearing from multiple sources but the problem with matt lauer he had so much power that nobody wanted

to speak up. >> reporter: two months ago lauer grilled bill o'reilly after he was fired following accusations of sexual harassment. >> think about those five women and what they did. they came forward and filed complaints against the biggest star at the network they worked at, think how intimidating that must have been, how nerve-racking that must have been, doesn't that tell you how strongly they felt about the way they were treated by you. >> well, it's not just me. those lawsuits involve many other people, not just me. >> reporter: and this clip is now circulating online. >> the smack heard around the studio, an off air moment involving matt lauer and willie guise. >> a skit when they featured a segment featuring lauer who appeared to mock sexual harassment. >> i just hi, willie, how are you? and i thought that would be the end of it. and he reached out and -- >> reporter: abc news, new york.

4:34. san francisco parking meters could soon cost as much as $18 an hour. i did not misspeak. you heard that right. it's part after proposed change to a san francisco municipal transportation agency program that adjusts meter rates based on demand. right now it's being used on 7,000 meters. it could soon expand to every meter in the city. most meters would top out at $8 but for special events meters could go up as high as $18 per hour and, yes, we are talking about meters that could be potentially around the new warriors arena. >> yikes. happening today one of the two men who escaped from a palo alto courthouse will be arraigned. federal partials tracked bivins to a hotel sunday. he had been on the run since november 6. bivins escaped police last week, sped past officeers in a dead end street. they caught the second fugitive at a near by walmart. he faces charges in addition to the armed robbery charge he was originally in jail for. the san francisco police

department is thanking the community for rallying behind an officer critically injured in the line of duty. officer elia lewin-tankel was hit by a car. he suffered a traumatic brain injury. tenderloin-based officers hel d helped. his wife is a schoolteacher, was by his side at the facility in the south bay where he is receiving treatment. >> the amount of support from the community, we couldn't ask for more. >> families, friends, and strangers have all lifted us towards the light. for that and so much more we are grateful. thank you. >> for more on officer lewin-takel and how you can help you can go to our website, abc7news.com. 11 people will need to find another place to stay after fire raced through two buildings in

san francisco. the fire spread next door in no time. it took firefighters more than an hour to bring the flames under control and the cause is under investigation. >> family and friends have launched a go fund me page to help a family who lost their home in a natural gas explosion. the family lived here until monday when the blast damaged their apartment. investigators say a gas leak is to blame. pg&e says it remains under investigation. the family is still coming to terms with what happened. >> it's scary because a lot of people there and home, was very bad. >> their home was in b heights. we have a link to the go fund me page for the family on our website, abc7news.com. happening today san francisco will kick off an event pushing for free tuition to all public colleges and

universities. it is happening at 5:00 p.m. in san francisco where tuition is already free-for-all san francisco residents regardless of income. the school was the first in the nation to do so and now a movement to offer a free college education to every person in california. it's called the college for all act. supporters are trying to gather enough signatures to get the initiative on the ballot. a lot is expected to flood. high tides are expected for the next several days. that lot floods a lot during king tides. this is video you're looking at from january. mike is here now with more on that. >> the king tides start technically saturday. they peak monday and then they'll recede again by about wednesday. so that gives you the time frame of what's going on. we look at tides at 6 1/2 feet or higher and that's what will be the case with this. that's what we categorize as king tides. it always happens this time of

department may be ready to enforce federal laws against it. the obama administration gave states leeway. sessions says marijuana is detrimental and should remain illegal. san francisco is working on new rules for testing delivery robots in the city. leaders are concerned the robots may pose a threat to pedestrians and create safety issues. the regulations would allow three companies to test three devices in light industrial areas of the city. the robots cannot go more than 3 miles an hour, have to have a human operator as well. they will have to have headlights and warning sounds to alert pedestrians. we charge mike nicco every night, plugs in and that's how he is able to get up and go and give your forecast. >> are you saying i'm robotic today? >> not at all. >> it may be the cold medicine. from mt. tamalpais, it is clear. no spare the air today. mostly sunny.

the weekend weather, there's still a slight chance of showers showers, and an extended weekend of warm and dry weather like what we're seeing to warm out the end of november which will end close to a little bit below average as far as our precipitation goes and with a dry october not getting off on the best start especially the further south you are. 68 today in san jose. one of our warm spots along with santa cruz. we have about 64 to 65 for the rest of us, even out to the coast where you can go and join us, 64 at half moon bay and not worry about the rough surf. tonight another cool one out there. temperatures running 39 in napa. places in the san ramone valley, san ramone, danville, alamo, dublin, possibly around 39, also. the rest of us in the low to mid-40s. until you get the usual warmer spots upper 40s to near 50. all right, we'll have a little more cloud cover tomorrow. temperatures about 60 to 66.

team that reviews alerts for inappropriate behavior. inappropriate behavior. and his name is an alert came in about the president's account. duysak started the process of deactivating the account, closed his computer and left the building. he didn't expect it to be completed. >> i didn't go to any site or tool i wasn't supposed to be at. i didn't do any crime and i underline i complied with all rules. >> he says it's an unfortunate mistake. he says he is sick of the press hounding him and is ready to get back to a normal life. >> if you're tired of high bay area housing prices, maybe consider a boat.

either being tested or under review. the drugs would be given as shots every month or so. studies of two found they cut the frequency of migraines. the drugs are the first preventative medicines for migraines. millennials more than any other generation are willing to take a pay cut to work for companies that most align with their values. that is the finding of a met life survey of 1,000 employees from a wide range of professions. on average millennials say they're willing to take a pay cut of 34% to work at a company which supports their views. overall nine out of ten say they would be willing to take a salary decrease. the average pay cut all workers would take, 21%, that includes even those who make less than $50,000 a year. let's talk about an overabundance of warmth. from mt. tamalpais, a gorgeous day that will wrap up a november
