live. >> reporter: this hearing was supposed to take place monday. it was postponed until today because the judge was sick. they only had two witnesses take the stand today. the second one just stepped up one of the ghost ship residents. came to the stand after 3:00 so slow moving. but deeply disturbing testimony. the first witness for the prosecution was aaron marin who lived at the ghost ship for three weeks leading up to the fire. he described the maze-like warehouse as a disneyland filled with art and art facts. he brought in project tent-like structure he called the size of a jumpy play house. prosecutors read from his interview soon after the fire, describing the equipment as blocking access to sxrooms

stairs. potentially life saving exits. but the defense attorney found, they face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. >> big, bubbly screen which blocked everyone from getting out in terms of the staircase. that has nod to do with the client. they placed the items there. that wasn't part of warehouse. >> he went on to describe freaking out as flames e he said there were screams for help and people were dying. it was emotional for the families of the victims who sat solemnly and were too distraught to do interviews. this could turn into a lengthy preliminary hearing that could last up to two weeks.

a class action lawsuit claims a company systematically paid female employees less than their male counter parts. it covered all women employed by google in california. a judge yesterday said that's too broad. and allowed the we will to file an amended complaint. sexual harassment is prevalent in start-ups. 53% of tech entrepreneurs have been harassed at work or know someone who has. breaking that down, 78% of female founders. 48% of male founders. 869 were questioned in the survey. >> the verdict in the kate stein steinle trial.

>> san francisco police are searching for two dogs they say are a risk to public saving. police say they were unleashed when they attacked a woman and her dog on brunswick street. at about 4:30 in the afternoon, the woman was hurt and her dog died from injuries suffered in the attack. if you know these dogs, or their owner, you're asked to call san francisco police. >> a and control tried to move the coyote away from the area since it was a crowd space but officers say they lost sight of it after it took off down folsom. coyote sighting sare common this time of year as they look for their own territory and sometimes end up in areas like this in the city by mistake.

u.s. air marshals will do a lot of things but one thing they won't do is call you for jury duty. >> an old, old scam. you guys have reported on it. we've talked about it many times. the federal trade commission is out with a warning. people are getting threatening cause typically from a u.s. marshal. it threatens to arrest or fine a victim for missing jury duty and they say they'll come out right that minute. they're sending a pre paid debit card, or what i should say, is buy a pre paid debit card. itunes card or other gift card to pay their fine. if you get a call like, this it is a scam. hang up. you should never send money by pre paid card to anyone like this. that is a sure way to know you're dealing with a scamster. >> nearly half a million people

will receive checks for buying into weight loss supplement checks. more than $8 million. the supplements were deceptively marked and used baseless weight loss claims. it is part of a settlement. they say it is a fake scam. the insurance commissioner wants to expand or take away the wells fargo's insurance license. an investigation found almost 1,500 unauthorized policies, reportedly sold from 2008 to 2016 from wells fargo kiosks. in some cases, customers gave their frgs but instead signed up for the policy. they knowingly misrepresented
