situation in southern california, not going to get better any time soon. >> thank you. >> the situation continues to get worse. in fact, on the front lines in southern california,two new dangrous wildfires have erupted in the last few hours. the lilac fire has moved into several neighborhoods in san diego county. it has destroyed at least 20 homes and firefighters fear more houses will be lost. it started at 11:30 this morning in bonsall. it has burned 2500 acres. it is growing rapidly and you can see the traffic is impacted. two people have suffered burns and thousands of others face evacuation orders. about 15 miles north of that in riverside county, firefighters are taking to the air to attack the fire burning in murrieta. it broke out a few hours ago and is spreading very quickly. at least one house has been destroyed. we'll have a live report in a

few minutes on this. there are now six major fires burning across southern california. the fires are from ventura county all the way south into san diego county. the biggest is the thomas fire, burning in ventura county. it has jumped over a major highway and it has triggered widespread evacuations. the thomas fire has burned 150 square miles. that's roughly an area three times the size of san francisco. shifting gears. it is dead week at berkeley. already a time when people are preparing for exams. but they're worried about their friends, their families and their homes. >> it is really scary. >> but flames have come too close to her house. they had to evacuate tuesday.

girls. >> the victims say he was tufg them. >> police alerted parents and a production manager told him he must leave. but then they said he was back with the girls again. he was arrested for annoying or molesting a child under 18. >> the behavior that we talked about of him leaving and coming back, it tells me it was an intentional act. if that was the case, i would not be surprised if there are more victims out there. >> police say he worked four for other dance companies. the production director doesn't believe he would have been near her performers because there are many parents backstage and private changing areas. >> we were talking about what are further measures we can take to ensure that kids are safe. some the dance schools we spoke to say it requires them to hire a backstage production person at the high school for safety.
