good wednesday morning. i'm kendis gibson. >> i'm diane macedo. here are some of the top headlines we're following on "world news now." democrat doug jones is celebrating victory in alabama. he won the u.s. senate seat over conservative fire brand roy moore who was backed by president trump in the face of shocking sexual missen conduct allegations. but moore says it's not over. we have full coverage ahead. donald trump jr. is expected to meet behind closed doors today with a senate intelligence committee conducted one of the russian probes and he is now asking for an investigation into leaks from his interview with the intel committee in the house. and the 24-year-old man accused of killing four people in tampa has pleaded not guilty. emmanuel donaldson iii entered a written plea to four counts of premeditated murder with a firearm. prosecutors are deciding whether to seek the death penalty.

jones said last night alabama has shown the country the way we can be united. >> this entire race has been about dignity and respect. this campaign has been about the rule of law. this campaign has been about common courtesy and decency, and making sure everyone in this state, regardless of which zip code you live in is going to get a fair shake in life. >> and he even quoted martin luther king during the ending of that speech in birmingham. president trump bucked the establishment and backed moore and he tweeted late last night, congratulations to cough jones. the write-in votes played a big factor, but a win is a win. the people of alabama are great and republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. >> but moore is not conceding and indicated a recount may be next.
