what does this mean when that behavior is tolerated? what does it mean for the companies is that then women? >> what it means, the takeaway with all the sexual harassment and men behaving badly is, the message in the book is that we cannot tolerate high performance -- it cannot be an excuse for bad behavior. i had many friends on the charlie rose store. the day "the new york times" story broke, they were out of a job. they had 19 years experience. they were producing an incredible show and they were out of a job. look at the people who did kevin spacey films. >> so a lot of human surfing you're saying as a result. >> i want to ask you. what shamed your views on women? >> so growing up, i was born to a single mother who was incredibly smart. she really worked hard to make

ends meet. i saw how hard she struggled. she was pushing up a much heavier rock up a steeper hill. that activated me earlier. i've also heard story after story. incredible female leaders who are trying to raise money for their start-up. trying to launch their small business. who are struggling much harder to raise money and put the country together. so that's why this is a passion of mine. to get the word out that women make incredible leaders. if you're a company, having more people with seats at the table improving your bottom line. >> some of our viewers may not be in a work environment. maybe no home environment. this is for either one of you. what are concrete things that men and women can do to change the balance? >> i think that the takeaway is not just, over, my gosh, these people are bad. for we will in the workplace, this is an opportunity for men and women. there are a lot of good men out
