dangerously low humidity. and any fires that could potentially start -- we'll show you when the winds calm down. >> thanks. now in the north bay anxiety levels are high with people who experience the terrifying wild fires last october. the return of high fire danger is bringing back painful memories. abc 7 news reporter live in santa rosa with details on this. cornell. >> i got to say it's been very windy up here all day long, putting many folks on edge. first responders all across santa rosa now on red flag alurt. >> it brings up a lot of angst because it's very blustery. >> there was no ignoring high winds at this special holiday giving event in santa rosa.

fire iengines back to summer-tie mode. abc 7 news. and developing news now out of southern california where more evacuations are being ordered because of the massive thomas fire. it started in ventura county and spreading rapidly in santa barbara county. they're heading towards the upscale community. 10 ozf thousands have been evacuated since this fire started nearly two weeks ago. >> these winds are real squirrely right now. they're coming down from the north but they're really swirling around. it's making a tough time to get in here and do any good. >> the fire has destroyed more than 700 homes and killed one firefight firefighter. it is the third largest wild fire in state history. >> hundred hads of protesters have countered a planned march against sanctuary cities. >> i'm here supporting our president and standing up against it radical left that supports protecting criminal

going in san francisco, one at the powell street station and another at it 16th streetd station. powell street station was closed for a time and trains were not stopping at 16th street. investigations were wrapped up quickly and service was restored. hayward police are trying to identify people -- they posted these pictures on their facebook page showing the suspects and the device they're accused of rigging up and microchips and a camera to capture the pin pad. they're crediting a gas station employee with spotting the suspicious activity. final tax reform votes are expected to be held in congress next week. it's expected to pass but pt president trump is taking no chances. >> reporter: president trump defending his tax reform plan saturday. >> everybody's going to benefit but i think the greatest benefit is for jobs and the middle

right now oakland has one of the highest wind gusts currently 28 degrees. future tracker wind gusts by 11:00 tonight and we're back on air for abc 7 news at 11:00. we'll continue to see the winds over 20 and 30 miles per hour. and even sunday morning the winds will continue to be breezy. those winds will be active out of it north. midday that is when we'll start to see changes happen. the winds will begin to pull back and later in the evening and late in the night on our sunday those winds will turn relatively calm across a majority of the region but we still have that wind advisory in effect until 10:00 tomorrow morning, those winds continue to gust over 21 miles per hour. we've already seen trees come down. that threat will continue under the strong winds and the chances for isolated power outages as well. the red flag warning still in
