now with the people first warranty. southern california fire crews have contained a fast-moving vegetation fire not far from downtown riverside, started just after 11:00 a.m., forcing mandatory evacuations in the area. cal fire says extra resources ready because of the danger conditions, wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. raced to get more containment of the thomas fire before tonight. destroyed more than 1,000 structures, including 750 homes since it started december 4th. 18,000 still threatened.
