5:50 am
today. 58 tomorrow. but then as we get back more into that mostly sunny sky, numbers will rebound into the low 60s with about 62 by tuesday, 63 on wednesday. so, you know, what that means, we're not looking at any precip. as we look outside, it looks pretty good here from our roof camera, where numbers are in the upper 40s, still cool out there. boy, compared to that 23 or 25 we had in parts of the north bay yesterday, yeah, it's not too hard to take. so we will be looking at the cloud cover continuing to stream in over a big ridge of high pressure today and tomorrow. but at one point we thought perhaps maybe we would see some rain push in here christmas day. but it looks like just more clouds than anything else. so right now it is 40 in san mateo, 41 in mountain view as well as fremont and san jose. 39, though, in brentwood, getting kind of cool towards the delta in santa rosa at 36. your forecast highlights calls for a pretty quiet weekend.
5:51 am
in fact we're going to look at the milder temperatures to start. the mild pattern lasting right on through the weekend. and it looks like no new prescription in the outlook, rain or snow, right on through the end of the year. so if you're traveling, that bodes well for you. if you're headed to the mountains, we really have to rely on the man made snow up there, which there is plenty of. but as we take a look at your hour by hour forecast, 7:00 today, you'll notice the high clouds streaming in. by 2:00 in the afternoon, a few holes in the overcast. so a mix of high clouds and sun today. and then by the overnight hours, still the cloud cover. this is christmas eve until 5:00. we still have clouds with rain well up across the border here. so highs today across the state, with very quiet conditions, partly cloudy skies. 10 degrees warmer in southern california. 69 there. 66 palm springs in san diego. if you're traveling to yosemite, a mild 54 degrees.
5:52 am
so it's looking pretty pleasant. but overnight lows have been so chilly with 20s in the sierra nevada. afternoon highs, about 50. it looks like we'll get into more clouds for sunday. and then for christmas, looks like more sunshine in the mountains. so highs today underneath a partly to mostly cloudy sky, near average. 56 in san francisco. 58 for you in fremont, palo alto. 60 in san josé. and then overnight tonight, it will be chilly but not as cold, numbers ranging from the mid-30s up in the north bay to 38 in concord, 36 in morgan hill, 42 in san mateo. christmas day there, looking at 50s and 60s with more cloud cover. the accuweather seven-day forecast featuring partly to mostly cloudy skies today and tomorrow, not much change for christmas and looking at more sun with some milder readings. so we can hope for january and february for the rain, but it has been absent of course for december.
