shooting, and at this point, they are not sure if it was a shoot out, or just one person in a car firing at the driver of the other car. now that shooting took place about 300 yards from where i'm standing on the other side of the waterman boulevard overpass. one of the drivers took off, and the other was shot multiple times and lost control of his car. you can see where he hit a white van, and then another car, and then finally, his car came to a stop. police say the shooting victim was the driver of the silver, two-door sedan. she was shot multiple times and he is surcurrently in critical condition at the hospital. other people in the cars also suffered injuries. >> multiple people went to several different hospitals. i don't know how many, but there is a number of them, and from what i'm told, there are no major injuries, but several people were hurt. >> reporter: on medic ambulance's facebook page, they say they transported eight people in seven different ambulances, and police are

interviewing witnesses. they are asking for anyone with information to come forward. waterman boulevard is expected to be closed for five or six more hours as police conduct the investigation. now they are waiting for major lights to they can photograph and take 3-d imaging of this crime scene, but traffic is heavy in the area, so it's best to stay away. live in fairfield, tiffany wilson, abc 7 news. >> thank you very much. four people, including three san francisco police officers suffered minor injuries in crashes just blocks from each other this morning. police say an officer responding to that crash was involved in another collision two blocks away from the first scene. the cause of both crashes are under investigation. an historic day in san francisco as a half dozen pot dispensaries open today. >> we are joined from other areas like berkeley and san jose to start recreational cannabis.

lonnie rivera is live at the 7eleven where somebody watched five numbers, lonnie. >> reporter: yes, and whoever that person is, they have not come forward to this store, but the manager tells me he loves all the media attention because since everyone announced it, this store is getting lots of bsiness as you can imagine. people are coming in to buy the megamillions and the powerball. the powerball drawing is tonight. well, here's a look at the store inside. what's interesting is most of the customers we talk to are buying tickets for both lotteries. they want to have all their bases covered just in case, despite the odds. in fact, one lady came back to the same store to buy more today, and she already spent $30. she used $2 from yesterday's tickets to come back in and purchase more today. >> it's a big, big plan. i'll retire working if i hit that, and i can help a lot of

one of the few men who walked on the moon that has died. john young was the ninth person so set foot on the moon. he commanded the first space shuttle flight. george h.w. bush said of young, he was a fierce patriot whose courage and commitment to duty helped our nation push back the horizon of discovery as a criminal time. he died of pneumonia. he was 87. jerry van dyke also passed away on friday. he was known for "the middle," and he was brother of dick van dyke. he passed away at his ranch in arkansas. his wife said he had health issues since being in a car accident two years ago. he was 86.
