on the wrong runway. instead of 28 right, heading to 28 left. on it a virgin america flight with passengers. faa says the pilots were using guidance system often used in poor weather to help with approach. will be interviewed as part of the investigation. >> runways at san francisco international are unique, close together. visually you can get mixed up easier than if runway was a mile away from the other one laterally. >> reporter: second call in months. air canada flew as low as 59 feet from the ground before aborted the landing. >> this isn't outside the realm of expectation. >> reporter: as for aeromexico, airline has yet to respond to request for comment.
