shooting a 65-year-old woman in the outer sunset. let's go to lonnie rivera, who is live at the scene. lonnie? >> reporter: yes, dan. we are here at 47th and mlk. take a look at golden gate part. you can see tape walking the entrance. there's several cars. police arrived here on scene and it was a development. we were covering a homicide case not too far from here. take a look at this scene from earlier, when police cars arrived. they surrounded the vehicle. yes, we learned the driver of that vehicle was a suspect wanted in connection with shooting -- a shooting that took place not too far from here. they did tweet saying that winston hughey had be -- been located. they are not confirming whether he's alive or dead. they just said whatever it was

involved here in the park was not an officer involved shooting. let's take a look at the series of events from earlier today that happened at that shooting just about five minutes away from here. >> i'm not sure if i know the people who it is, but it's disturbing. you know? it's where we live. >> reporter: neighbors arrived home to police tape blocking 34th ave. from ortega to noriega. they waited as police secured the scene after a deadly shooting around 4:30 friday afternoon. >> my daughter called me hysterical because she saw the police on the block and didn't know what was happening and she was afraid. >> reporter: -- >> she said she saw police cars. and then she heard a scream and a shot. >> reporter: detectives suspect winston hughey shot the victim, a 65-year-old woman multiple úso again, the suspect winston

hughey, has been located. police have this thing blocked off. they have not said whether he is alive or dead. but it looks like they are going to be here most of this evening. that's the very latest. reporting live in san francisco, abc7 news. >> thank you. a woman who hit and killed a three-year-old boy in a dui crash was sentenced in a plea deal. despite protests, she will likely serve only a fraction of her seven year sentence. abc7 news reporter katie uses has the story. >> out on bail and a pending dui case. under the influence of drugs. when she crashed her suv into a car stalled on the shoulder of interstate 680 in san ramon. the september 2016 collision killed three-year-old elijah don, injured his mother and emotionally scarred two other children in the car.

>> they will all -- we will all have to be in counseling for the rest of our lives probably. she left a horrible impact on my family. after two years, she's just going to go on with her life. >> reporter: pleaded guilty to gross vehicle or manslaughter -- vehicle or manslaughter. she gave a tearful apology as part of her plea deal. she's already in custody, which mused -- means she'll get credit for time served. >> that's not justice. that's -- you got a slap on the hand. >> reporter: married to and alameda county deputy. the da's office says that has nothing to do with the case. they say they charged vehicular manslaughter based on the evidence. >> just like numerous, numerous other cases in the bay area. >> reporter: she was arrested a third time for being drunk in public. now the family says lobby to

and he information about the gunman, stephen paddock. it shows the hidden cameras paddock set up in the room service cart outside. he appeared to begin planning for mass shooting in may, googling summer concerts 2017. they also found child pornography on paddock's computer. a corridor found tom petty's system. including fentanyl, which also killed prince. he suffered from emphysema. he found out his broken hip was worse. he performed dozens of shows despite that break. tom petty died in october at the age of 66.
