drugs. david and louisnd louisnd lu pleaded not guilty. david turpin was getting a job transferring to oklahoma and the family was preparing to move within days. sources tell abc news there happen u-haul boxes in the home. they have moved several times over the year. twice in texas and once in california. after nearly 70 hours the government shutdown is over. tonight president trump signed a bill that reopens the federal government. abc news reporter gloria rivera has the latest details from washington. >> reporter: good evening from capitol hill. democrats say they were able to reach a deal with it a pledge that republicans will work with them on immigration. day three of the government shutdown proved to be the last, for now.

robbers who bust into a home, one of them wearing a t-shirt that said sheriff. police say a resident was awakened by three to four people at the door demanding money. he was either knocked out or passed out. when he came to the suspects had disappeared. marijuana had been cultivated at the house, and investigators believe it may have been linked to the attempted robbery. it was unclear if anything was taken. a standoff in the south by the way shows no sign of ending as a man wanted by police remains hold up in a hotel room for more than 24 hours. now, when they tried to contact him, he barricaded himself in his room. officers were forced to evacuate an entire wing of the building to keep other guests safe. some were forced to sleep on sofas in the lobby.

and tomorrow it's dry and then more rain. live doppler 7 where we're tracking all those storms earlier this morning. tonight, though, you show a sweep across the region showing you it's a quiet picture. you can see the roadways have dried out. the clouds are breaking down, and under partly cloudy skies temperatures are dropping as well. look at the current numbers especially to the north. we're in the 40s and in fact the 30s. 39 right now in clear lake. chilly right now in conquered. 51 that current temperature in san francisco. overnight tonight those numbers will continue to drop. our coldest spots will drop into the 30s. but the biggest issue we have, after midnight fog will be developing first through the delta and then that's going to spill through the by the way. and that fog could be locally dense first thing tomorrow morning. grab the winter jacket.

the warriors returned yesterday from one of the most grueling road trips of the year. they went four and one on the trip but a big let down saturday night in houston. today on the first day back from the road at practice head coach steve kerr addressed the let down using a classic movie line. >> you would think guys would be able to get up for every single game, if you haven't been in the nba. but, you know, it's like russy nielsen said to karim when they're playing, you tell your men to -- and everyone is like what the hell are you talking about? how many people saw airplane? it was one of the greatest lines of all-time.
