tolerance campaign. from january 22 through january 31st, officers may 7 dui arrests. south san francisco police are on the lookout for a driver who hit one of their officers, they were called to a theft at the walgreens in west borrow square. they found the suspect in a car nearby. investigators later determined that car was stolen. a deadly train crash killede 160 in south someone flip a switch that forced the train on to the wrong track. >> reporter: an amtrak train heading to florida crashed into a csx freight train, derailing several passenger cars and the lead engine in casey, south carolina early sunday, two

people were killed and more than 100 injured. no one appeared to have been aboard the csx train at the time of impact. south carolina's governor addressed the situation. >> the csx was on the track that it was supposed to be on. it appears that amtrak was on the wrong track. >> reporter: the national transportation safety board is on the scene investigating. a source with knowledge of the investigation says they're focusing on the signal systems and whether they were working properly. this is the latest deadly incident involving train. >> abc7 news was in san carlos after a box truck overturned on u.s. highway 101, it happened just south of holly street at 1:00 this afternoon. drivers faced delays until that truck was uprighted and towed

away. the highway control tells us no one was hurt. oakland police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man at 67th and market street at 6:00 this morning. a victim from berk reley was rushed to the hospital but did not survive his injuries. police are looking for a dog that attacked a woman on monday. the dog also attacked the officer. mountain lions were spotted on center avenue and wildwood lane, kate larsen is live in palo alto with reaction. kate? >> reporter: we're on wild wood where the first mountain lion spotting occurred here around 9:00. i spoke to a woman who was driving down the street, she saw the mountain lion walking down the street and cross her front

yard. she was very anxious about her kids, especially her neighbors and also her cat who she saw dart under a car. she said the mountain lion was probably 100, 120 pounds, she's never seen one in this neighborhood before. a second spotting occurred about 3 1/2 hours later about a mile and a half away. here's what nancy had to stay about that cat. >> we were shocked initially and so i tried to honk to make the thing run, and it actually went through the neighbor's yard through the front of our yard and through the backyard of ours. it made by daughter really squared because she had never seen anything like that. >> reporter: so it's not clear at this point if it was the same cat that was spotted two times or if there were actually two different mountain lions in the neighborhood. apologies for the car alarm going off behind us right now. but i can tell you that the neighbors i have spoken to are making sure their kids and pets are inside and also that their

far from where we are. it's going to be a milder night out there, a colder spot in the 40s in the north bay and inland, some of our spots will stay well above average for this time of year, dropping into the lower 50s overnight tonight. we have high pressure in control right off the coast right here. had a few high clouds moving through in the early morning hours. lots of sunshine into the afternoon and that high pressure is setting that storm track about 700 miles north of our area, you can see a little bit of moisture in vancouver, and in seattle, and dipping down towards denver. so our storm track is well north and it's going to stay there for at least the next seven days. your 12-hour planner ondown monday, that sun comes up around 7:10 in the morning, you can see by 7:00, we're already in the 70s, another mild day around here, afternoon temperatures going back into the 70s across

the board. high on your monday, about 76 for free mondmont and 76 in livermore. average this time of the year, we should be only topping out in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees, but our highs tomorrow in the 70s, you can see across the board, santa rosa, san francisco, anywhere from 11 to 17 degrees above average. unfortunately, the rainfall outlet, this is through february 17. you can see not a drop of moisture, so hopefully, as the month ends, this pattern will change and will turn a little bit wetter. but the accuweather forecast shows the next seven days, mild on your monday, a little change to the pattern midweek, thursday it's still dry, warmth afternoon on friday but really temperatures not changing all that much next weekend.
