. breaking news out of san sta rosa. a dump truck carrying trees from the fire crashed. we see ambulances on the scene but no definitive word right now on injuries. this happened at mendocino and fountaingrove parkway. reggie is here with the latest video and information. >> these new images we're just getting in schote a very bad crash. the preliminary information is that this dump truck, which you see right here, actually, this isn't it. this is some of the cars involved. you'll see the dump truck in a moment. it was carrying debris from the north bay wildfires. this happened off highway 101.

here's a full look from sky7, a live image right now. police tell us the truck was going down fountaingrove parkway and crashed into at least seven vehicles. there is that dump truck i'm talking about surrounded by a lot of foam, as you can see on your screen. here's brand-new video taken from the ground. you can see the devastation there. police tell us fire and smoke was coming from the scene. you will see evidence -- there's that fire we're talking about, of the fire-fighting effort all over the road still. at this point we don't know how many people were hurt or the extent of their injuries. even if you've never been to santa rosa, you probably know this neighborhood from our coverage of the fires in october. this intersection is adjacent to the mobile home park that burned called journey's end and next to fountaingrove in and hilton hotel that burned during the fires. back to this particular crash. multiple roads are closed in this area, including mendocino avenue, the northbound area, north of bicentennial way.

chp asking you to stay out of this area for the time being. we'll continue to follow this as the morning goes on. >> thank you. sky7 had a very busy morning because earlier it was over the scene of a major injury traffic accident on the san mateo bridge. this was on the eastbound lanes. some of you may have been caught in the backup. pieces of a u-haul truck litter the freeway and tow trucks hauled away the wreckage of another car. two eastbound lanes were closed. you saw the backup during the morning rush. everything is clear now. breaking news from east bay. hayward police sent out this tweet 30 minutes ago. construction crews accident punctured a gas main line at huntwood and austin avenues. repairs are now under way but the fire department is asking neighbors to shelter in place or leave the area immediately if they smell a strong odor. new at sweep at the homeless

encampment. advocates are putting up a fight, saying the homeless are part of the tech boom. >> reporter: caltransh has started its work here. some people have stayed behind. today they must leave. homeless advocates have dubbed this encampment in san jose as googleville. but others will describe what is here as a dump site. garbage piled high. >> human feces may be out here, needles they encount ker, it may be other things that are a detriment not only to the people that are here but to our actual workers coming out here to clean it up. >> reporter: whatever you think about this place, sherri todd has been living here for several months. today she has to move. >> we lose our stuff and we don't know where we're going. >> reporter: homelessville

advocaadd voe -- homeless advocates say the googleville sign -- >> if you read homeless statistics, they go up year after year after year. >> reporter: google says they're aware of the homeless issue in the area and sent me a list of several millions in donations they've made since 2014 to address it. the company also says they'll be a active participant in community of my led engagement centering around plans for a station near downtown san jose. they say the first thing is getting the homeless off streets and into housing. until that happens, these sweeps will continue. >> we don't know where we're going. we don't know what we're doing. >> people are moving towards solutions here. we're going backwards. that's not silicon valley. go forward. >> reporter: caltran says it will take a week. they're doing landscaping and fence repair. some homeless people i spoke with said after this is all done, it's likely they'll return.

reporting live in san jose, matt keller, abc7 news. the trial between waymo and uber is under way in san francisco. opening arguments started at 7:30 this morning. waymo used to be part of google and so is the employee at the center of the lawsuit. waymo claims uber worker stole sensitive secrets and gave them to technology using self-driving cars. larry page, brin and kalanak could be potential witnesses. eagles fans are celebrating their first super bowl win ever in the history of the franchise. philly upset the new england patriots 41-33. jessica castro in studio with a look at the excited fans who flooded the streets in the city of brotherly love.

>> yeah, the video from the parties overnight are wild. fans happy to get rid of the 57-year drought and sure partied like it had been a while. this is a fan that was on top of an awning at the ritz carlton in downtown philadelphia. there were thousands of people on the streets. even doing a trust fall to the fans down below. pretty brave. this is videos of fans scaling the gate at city hall. one is actually carrying a keg all the way up to the top. at least three people were arrested. there were also some reports of looting. as for damage to property, we saw some of that, too. at one point fans knocking down a traffic light and kicking it. believe it or not, fans also deciding to flip over a car and you can see them here pumping their fists, pumping their chests as well. not sure why you would do this. a lot of bystanders taking video of all of the chaos. as for their victory parade, the

town of danville made a lot of noise. >> we all started jumping around, screaming. we were in my friend's room just together, just seeing that. just amazing. >> scared my 3-year-old son, scared my dog, scared my wife. it was pretty loud in my house. >> reporter: bill powers coached zach in basketball at monte vista high school but football is the route he ended up taking. his high school football coach felt so much pride as he watched him in the super bowl last night. >> i found myself beaming. i was so excited for him. >> reporter: even though zach was the center of attention after the game, he still took the time to call his old coach. >> just the excitement. you could see the excitement in his voice. he was just, you know, a lot -- i don't think he had much sleep. >> reporter: zach's youngest brother is a senior at monte vista. they say they enjoyed experiencing the super bowl through him, especially that winning touchdown. >> he was going crazy.

department. they say they were ignited on october 8th. investigators say the strong winds caused the power lines to arc, which sent them into dry grass and bushes which started the fires. the report says one fire destroyed two homes and the other damaged an outbuilding. pg&e declined to comment on this new report. president trump was up early again this morning. he's blaming a california congressman for leaking information in washington. now that congressman is responding. and a boys club in silicon valley, the author of a new book explaining how the deck is stacked against women in tech. good morning. i'm meteorologist mike nicco. 11 record highs yesterday. we'll be close today in some areas. check out the haze hanging around there in this not spare the air day but temperatures anywhere from 10 degrees above average in

new developments this southern vl morning. congressman adam schiff is responding to president trump's tweet which called him a liar and leaker of confidential information. schiff fired back on twitter saying, mr. president, i see you've had a busy morning of executive time. instead of tweeting false mirrors, the american people would appreciate it if you turned off the tv and helped solve the funding crisis, protected dreamers or really anything else. this comes off a dispute of

memo. the president touting the memo that allegedly shows abuses at the fbi. democrats say they have a memo of their own and their ready to release it. of course, that's being blocked. abc news has the details. >> reporter: president trump waged a campaign against his own justice department this weekend, accusing them of bias in the russia investigation. tweeting lines from a "wall street journal" op-ed, he accused the fbi of being, quote, a tool of anti-trump political actors. he's bases this on a memo released by congressional republican republicans. >> reporter: democratic congressman adam schiff vowed to release a counter memo. >> it was a political hit job on the fbi in the service of the president. >> reporter: that put schiff in the line of fire.

president trump tweeted this morning, quote, little adam schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in washington. meanwhile, the man behind the memo house intel chair, devin nunes, says they're not done looking for pieces of power in the investigation. up next, he says they're looking at irregularities at the state department. abc news, washington. it's another long prison sentence for disgraced former sports dr. larry nassar. this morning a judge sentenced nassar to 40 to 125 years in prison for sexually assaulting girls at an elite michigan gym. the 54-year-old apologized before the judge announced the sentence. >> is it possible to convey the depth and breadth of how sorry i am to each and every one involved. divisions of your testimony will forever be present in my thoughts. >> and today sentencing is the last criminal -- final criminal punishment in a sex abuse

scandal that's rocked michigan university and major u.s. sports associations. nassar received 40 to 125 years in a separate case. in all, more than 260 women and girls say nassar sexually abused them under the guise of medical treatment. we alerted you to a push alert around 7:15 this is morning. you can download our abc7 news app and stay atop breaking news. an expert on the tech industry, bloomberg news emily chang has a brand-new book on what she calls the boys club of silicon valley. the book says the deck is stacked against women in tech and alleges everything from discrimination to drug-fueled, sex-laced parties. we spoke with the author, emily chang. >> in the book you do mention how a lot of the business is done outside of the office. you even visited the gold club, the strip club lunch spot in silicon valley.

what did you learn from that? >> at 11:45 a.m. on a friday the line was out the door. a lot of people there were tech workers on their lunch break. i mean, this is in the middle of a working day. and, you know, i talked to a couple of women who work at this club. they say, yes, they hear colleagues talking about business. they might go up to a private room together. this is a stone's throw from so many tech companies in the heart of san francisco. and the main point is that so much business in silicon valley, as you said, gets done outside the office, whether it's the strip club or the hotel lobby or the bar, you know, or the sidelines of a conference. and, unfortunately, that leads to some gray areas, lines get blurred and often women can be put in very uncomfortable situations. >> we should mention there are some big names who dispute some accounts in her book. including elon musk of tesla. you'll find the entire interview with emily chang on the abc7
