>> i happened to see the news when i woke up. >> reporter: calvin zachary told me he had a bad feeling when he saw the little red car on the morning news, the one involved with an amc transit bus, the same kind of car, his 27-year-old daughter kelley lives. >> i just noticed a red vehicle and i just had a gut feeling i probably needed to get over there and see what was going on and i got the bad news. she was a very loving, caring, sweet young lady. and i couldn't ask for god to give me a better child in my kelly. >> zachary says kelly celebrated her 27th birthday just last month, she was going to nursing classes at night and working at the irs during the day. police say it appears that kelly's car entered ashby from a side street and was on the

driver's side by the bus. >> it was possibly a run of a stop sign, we just don't know at this point. we do know that the police have collected the video from on board the bus, there are several different camera angles and they will use that to determine what happened. >> reporter: the car careened into a home on ashby avenue. >> i heard a bang and then i heard it hit -- my car there was in the driveway and then the porch, and then i heard the boom which was probably hitting the house next door. >> calvin said he just to be an ac bus driver, whose routes include emeryville and berkeley. right now all he can think about is the daughter he lost. >> like i said, she's going to be truly missed. this is the worst day of my live. truly. >> reporter: and we're back live here, you can see the city of berkeley has put a red tag on this home, deemed it unsafe to occupy, at least for now. there were only two people on that bus, including the driver.

went everywhere. >> reporter: police say three of the assailants were caught right away, right outside linda's floral shop. >> one was caught by the cop and pinned him down, and asked him please don't move, i'll break your arm if you move. >> reporter: but two others went into this neighborhood, heavily armed officers went door to door looking for a light skinned black male and a black female both wearing dark clothing. the pursuit may have ended in vallejo, but it end in -- a man was shot and wounded here. less than two hours later, they struck again at a home on melcom lane. >> at 6:45, they were there was home invasion robbery in a different part of town, where people were tied up and a man was shot and killed. >> reporter: that makes this a homicide case that explains why not one but two s.w.a.t. teams were called out.

s.w.a.t. teams went door to door, but they couldn't locate the suspects. >> we do know that one of the homes did have evidence of marijuana growing, so it's going to take a little bit more time to investigate what happened. >> reporter: police say the two are armed and dangerous and you should call local police if you spot them. sheriff's deputies have three men in custody, all are being booked on charges of homicide. their i'd it tdentities have no been released. a woman had a protective order against her boyfriend when he shot and killed her. sylvia sanchez diaz was shot by her boyfriend. both died at the scene. police in mountain view are investigating a shooting that left bullet holes in a bank's windows. officers shut down grand road and el camino real yesterday.

no one was hurt. police have not determined why the shooting happened but it was not part of a robbery attempt. the road reopened after officers processed the teen. flaring at -- contra costa officials were notifid about a problem about 7:45 this morning, staff monitored the situation, they did not issue a shelter in place order. air quality inspectors also said it's not clear skies what chemicals were involved in this event, but they will issue notices -- chevron issued statements saying that flares are a highly regulated safety device and they described this as an isolated inciden. a water main break in san mateo today. a 12-urinch feeder pipe broke a elk camino real and 5th avenue. it flooded streets, homes and

we'll still see upper 50s to near 60 as midnight approaches, but in the early morning hours the temperature will drop a little bit more and tomorrow will start with another potentially record setting day. early this morning, berkeley police cleared out a homeless camp in front of old city hall. martin luther king jr. way was closed for a couple of hours for this planned operation. officials say the encampment was cleared because of security concerns. people living there say the camps were clean. >> i do not condone drugs or alcohol or anything of that kind around us. >> there was a fire here the other day at old city hall, not associated with two clean camps, and so the city decides punish everybody. >> one person was arrested in connection with that fire and

berkeley police posted notices telling campers outside old city hall to clear out immediately. san francisco is suing the state over a law that exempts ride sharing drivers from having to obtain business licenses in every city where they work. city attorney dennis seeking an injunction uber customers who opened the app were unable to access the service, many made complaints to uber, the outage lasted a few minutes and uber responded to those who went on social media to complain. justin trudeau landed in san francisco today, but he's not just on a tour, who he's trying to lur oe out of california and into canada.

with low temperatures mainly in the mid to upper 40s, maybe in the mid 50s in some locations, and tomorrow looking at highs once again in near record territory, we'll see upper 60s on the coast. a little cooler on the coast or will be. right on the bay, inland, we may still see some records, mid 70s in the warmest locations. let's look at weather wellness. tree pollen will be moderate tomorrow. weed pollen, grass pollen, mold spores are low so that's good news, a look at air quality, generally tomorrow and saturday we'll see moderate air quality in the north bay and the central bay and the coast. good air quality inland east and south bay tomorrow. and santa clara valley on saturday, the next couple of days we're looking at decent air quality. no real concerns there. now winds, over the weekend, it will be quite gusty, especially on saturday, we'll see gusts on saturday evening, up to 40 miles

pipes. >> this mess is happening on el camino real and notre dame. abc7 is live at the scene with david lui with the very latest on this. >> reporter: cleanup crews have been very hard at work in floodwaters that were two to three feet high just a couple of hours ago. crews have been trying to repair that pipe that broke almost 10 hours ago, not only leaving the water three feet high here, but in a house basement around the corner. it was a 12-inch cast iron pipe first installed in 1955 broke and flooded a church and school. then as drains got clogged from mud and debris, the water found its way to backyards and a basement. >> nine months ago we moved in and we lost absolutely everything. >> reporter: these are photos of her flooded 1,800 square feet
