hi there, everyone. another sunny day out there. i know february is not supposed to look like this day after day. we are approaching the middle of the month where we're looking at dry conditions. we need rain, we want rain, once again we're getting used to this picture. a big area of high pressure carving out a trough. a little haze at the surface from mt. tam. 11:00, 64 degrees in san francisco. the average high is 59 this time of year. 61 oakland, 63 in mountain view san jose.

gilroy. 72 degrees at the beach, half moon bay. we are looking at numbers climbing through the 60s on this panel. 68 in novato. 72 in livermore. the weather person isn't supposed to tb surprised, right? it's unbelievable how we keep breaking records. how we thought today would be another cooler day at the coast and we're looking at high fire danger this weekend as the winds kick up. a system will move over that ridge, bring the gusty winds, dry out the atmosphere, bring the temperatures down. but those winds are not what we want in this dry period. it will be breezy tonight in the upper elevations. because of that, we will be clear and we'll look for temperatures in the 40s and 50s. temperatures will be milder with all that air being mixed around. the wind gust we can anticipate overnight on the coast starting out over 30 miles an hour. look what happens as we go towards your afternoon on
