russia special investigator robert mueller just charged 13 russian nationals and three russian companies with intrfering in the 2016 presidential election. this indictment charges all of the defendants with conspiracy to defraud the u.s. with the intent to support donald trump and his campaign for president. deputy attorney general just made the announcement about 30 minutes ago. >> the indictment alleges the russian conspirators want to promote discord in the united states and undermine public confidence in democracy. we must not allow them to succeed. >> no official response yet from president trump or the white house. abc news expects an announcement with a reaction to the news

soon. we'll bring it to you as soon as we get it. thank you for joining us. happening now in san francisco, more breaking news. a gas main break has triggered evacuations in the inner sunset. sky7 showing you the scene there. this is on irving street between seventh and eighth avenue. we're told a third-party construction crew hit a gas line this morning, forcing officials to evacuate a one-block area. pg & e is on the scene. we'll monitor this and bring it to you. for now, authorities are urging you to please stay out of that area. new information on the florida high school shooting. the fbi now says it got a tip warning them the suspected shooter might attack. and the agency didn't follow through. abc news reporter stephanie ramos is in parkland. >> reporter: the fbi is now admitting it made a huge mistake by not following up on a second tip they received last month about the suspected gunman who is accused of brutally shooting

more than 30 people, killing 17 of them at a south florida high school. in a statement, the fbi says a person close to nikolas cruz contacted the fbi's tipline with specific concerns about his gun ownership, erratic behavior and his desire to kill people. this as a shattered community is clinging to whatever strength they can. as they mourn those lives lost. this father's two kids were inside the high school when the shooting happened. his son made it out safe but his 14-year-old daughter did not. >> jamie was such a special kid. all the kids here are. >> reporter: this parent also in anguish over the loss of his child. >> no person should have to suffer this. no person should have to lose their son or their daughter or their spouse. >> reporter: this as police release more details leading up to the horrific shooting. police say 19-year-old suspect nikolas cruz took an uber to his former school, walking into the

building armed with a legally purchased ar-15 rifle, concealed inside a black case. police say cruz started shooting into classrooms going floor by floor then walking out of the building, trying to blepd in with students. he was caught an hour later but his capture not easing the grief of those who have lost a loved one. >> parents, love your kids, hold your kids, kiss your kids. and don't ever, ever miss the chance to tell them how much you love them. i love all of you. >> reporter: the funerals for two of the victims, both students, will be held today. stephanie ramos, abc news, parkland, florida. and here are just some of the photos of those who we lost in the shooting. they range in age from 14 to 49 years old. these are students and teachers and coaches, some of whom protected their students by putting their own lives in danger. we posted a photo and information about each one of

these victims on our website. abc7news.com. it's also on our abc7 news app. happening now in oakland, public school staff members are holding employee training on active shooter situations. this is an idea of what that will look like. today's training is taking place at cole elementary school. about 100 teachers have gone through this training. more will complete the course today. we'll have more on this story later today and again on our app. here at home, high school students at one north bay community are planning a march today to honor the florida victims. they held a candlelight vigil for the shooting victims last night. abc7 news was in mill valley where community members and students at take action. they will push administrators to come up with a new emergency alert plan. >> don't just sit back and mourn. take that pain and make a difference. >> this is so tragic. this just keeps happening and it seems it will just continue unless we make some change.

>> students say they will march from tam high to mill valley community center to rally for gun control. we're always updating our website and app with the latest information. you can find out more about the victims and how you can help the families at abc7news.com. a wild police chase this morning in the north bay ends with a driver ejected out of his car. >> he ended up crashing into more than half a dozen vehicles in the process. amy hollyfield has that story from santa rosa. >> reporter: these pictures show the aftermath of a fiery crash into seven parked cars on west steel street in san sta rosa. witnesses describe a sound like a bomb and a huge fire. >> i heard a huge smash. instantly looked up and right over here, a car was a huge fireball, instantaneous. >> reporter: police say the dodge charger that crashed here was stolen and that owners

interrupted the theft and chased the driver with speeds reaching up to 100 miles per hour. witnesses say it sounds like the owners maybe tried to confront the driver. >> i heard angry voices. >> reporter: the car was stolen from riana street and it's not the first time thieves have targeted this street. >> on the 1st of january, somebody tried to break into my hummer in my driveway around 3:20 in the morning. >> reporter: wayne bernard is a chp officer and he was able to hold the man until police could arrest him. he says he would advise others not to chase the thief. >> leave it to the pros. i've seen fatalities out of vehicle pursuits before and it's not worth it. >> reporter: the driver of the stolen car in this case was ejected from the car and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. he is expected to survive. no one else was hurt. in santa rosa, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. walnut creek police are looking for a man who exposed himself on a bus. this happened february 6th on

the walnut creek free trolley around 1:00 p.m. walnut creek police are asking you to give them a call if you know who that suspect is. the fate of dreamers is murkier than ever after the senate failed to advance four proposals on immigration reform. republicans and democrats blamed each other for the failures. president trump blamed senate democrats for the failure of all four bills tabckling the daca issue. democrats complained about a veto that led to its failure. >> i thought our friends across the aisle would jump at this opportunity to fulfill what they say is their top priority. but they just couldn't take yes for an answer. >> the president wants funding for a wall on the southern border. it will cost billions to fulfill that campaign promise. state lawmakers want to protect renters against eviction. one bill would extend the period of time that tenants have to respond to eviction lawsuits so they can present a legitimate

defense. another would extend just cause eviction laws, like the one already in place in oakland to the rest of the state. it would require landlords to provide a specific and valid reason before an eviction can take place. you know how many people can afford to buy a median price home in san francisco? we just found out. 12% of us. and you need to be making bank. it's not much better around the rest of the bay area. matt keller live for us in redwood city. matt? >> reporter: yeah, good morning, reggie. the market is hot. inventory is low. so, who is able to afford a house here in the bay area? well, a new report shows you have to be making a lot of money. you want to get a big reaction from people today. show them the california association of realtors' new report on the minimum household income needed to buy a median priced home in the bay area. >> holy cats. that's insane. wow. >> reporter: holy cats is right. the california association of

realtors reports a household in san francisco needs to make a minimum income of just more than $ $303,000 a year to afford the median home price of $1.4 million. the next was san mateo at $302,000. followed by santa clara, more than $256,000 a year. marin county with $252,000 a year. >> it's horrendous. no one has that type of money. not everyone is a dotcomer and can make that type of money. >> you have to have a high earner, having an advanced degree. that's killing the middle class and the people that work in the businesses and that make this area to great. >> it's terrible. it's hard to sustain a way of life with housing costs so high. >> reporter: this realtor believes the minimum income numbers are inflated. >> i think it's scaring people that probably can qualify to buy a house. >> reporter: gonzalez says a lot of people are buying homes using

faces a tough challenge. another woman claiming to have had an affair with president trump. "the new yorker" published an article detailing claims by former playboy playmate container mcdougacdougall. she said she was impressed by mr. trump's intelligence and charm and that he tried to pay her after the first time they had sex. the author of the article spoke on "gma." >> the underlying chronicle of affairs sees the pattern of the multiple accounts of con sensual or nonconsensual affairs by president trump. >> so far, we are still waiting for the white house for comment. new at 11:00, 22 more children have died from the flu according to the cdc. that brings to -- that brings the death toll of children who

an abrupt change coming to our weather pattern as we come to the weekend. if you have outdoor plans, let's march through it by opening the weather window and with a great day to walk across the golden gate. it's going to be sunny and warm. blustery sunday with temperatures tumbling 10 to 15 degrees and that's during the day. that eventually leads to the freezing cold nice. temperature already 60 and napa, antioch. the rest of us in the mid to upper 50s. let's talk about your activity planner. everything is green, which is good. the worst case scenario, you may get sun burned in february. not bad for an activity planner. emeryville looks good. we still have a couple hours to warm so we'll be above

maybe a little sea breeze. 8:00 to midnight, temperatures will drop to the mid and lower 50s. have a coat ready. mid to upper 30s in napa, santa rosa. everybody else in the low to mid-40s except for san francisco at 47 degrees. we have snow. we have more coming. but it's going to be very windy when it's snowing sunday. we'll get a couple inches and look at that arctic air mass. we drop from 37 sunday to 5 in tahoe. the windchills will be below zero if you head out on the slopes early monday morning. the breezes will taper and so will the snow shower. here's an area of high pressure dominating our weather. it's getting shoved off to the west. with clockwise flow we have arctic express headed our way. it will leave the moisture to the north. you can see a lot in the form of snow. the pink, a wintry mix. the white, the snow. you can see the snow sunday in tahoe. then it starts to taper as we head towards monday morning.

there's a slight chance we may have a stray shower bump into the mountains. something definitely i'll be watching monday morning when i'm here with you if you don't have the day off. breezes are fine. saturday. sunday morning we're already up to 20, 25 miles an hour. 30 to 35 by the time they max out as we head towards sunday night into monday morning. those winds, 32 miles an hour in san francisco. my accuweather seven-day forecast, we drop from the 70s saturday to the 50s sunday. more 50s for monday and tuesday. temperatures will start to return back closer to normal by thursday. it's a quick hit. with everything blooming, you want to make sure you take care of the pets and plants monday and tuesday, possibly wednesday morning for the possible hard freeze, into the 20s. >> friday and monday, right?
