a little less wind. i'll track the rain for you there a few minutes. >> thank you. breaking news this morning, police are warning residents to shelter in place in the sur roun -- surrounding area. police say they received a call at 11:00 last night at a person seen firing and an assault weapon in the backyard of a home. witnesses tell officers that person was upset due to a loud party. officers tried to contact people inside the home but did not get a response. they believe a man may be inside with an illegal firearm. the s.w.a.t. team has a search warrant to remove illegal firearms. if we receive any information we'll bring it to you during our newscast. urgent warning about immigration raids.

oakland mayor says multiple credible sources told us ice could start operations today. >> homeland security raided 77 businesses in san francisco, san jose and sacramento looking for illegal workers. agents demanded proof that employees were illegally allowed to work in the united states. reiterated open police would not participate in ice activities. we want residents to prepare and not panic. we understand ice has used it as tactic to create fear of our intend is to go about our dai di lives without fear. i know oakland is a city of law-abiding imgranlt and

hear so many missed opportunities in the mass murder vowing that under similar syringes his department will act. abc 7 news reporter has the story. >> bay area law enforcement is speaking out following the resignation of an officer that failed to act in parkland, florida. police chief tweeted in part since columbine in 1999 our training is to stop the killing and engage the suspect immediately. >> if there is killing that is occurring to stop that as quickly as possible to save as many vichls tims as possible. >> killed the killer. >> now he confirmed the department is investigating accusations that at least three deputies waited during the february 14th massacre. >> he was supposed to protect these kid sz and he didn't.

we have one to two fires a day and when you respond together and you put your lives on the line, you do have to surround yourself with experts. and for us the expert in gas and electric is pg&e. we run about 2,500/2,800 fire calls a year

and on almost every one of those calls pg&e is responding to that call as well. and so when we show up to a fire and pg&e shows up with us it makes a tremendous team during a moment of crisis. i rely on them, the firefighters in this department rely on them, and so we have to practice safety everyday. utilizing pg&e's talent and expertise in that area trains our firefighters on the gas or electric aspect of a fire and when we have an emergency situation we are going to be much more skilled and prepared to mitigate that emergency for all concerned. the things we do every single day that puts ourselves in harm's way, and to have a partner that is so skilled at what they do is indispensable, and i couldn't ask for a better partner. some citi group credit card

5:00 tomorrow morning it is breezy with 25 miles per hour gusts along the coast. they will be strongest and the east winds last right on through the afternoon making it for a blustery day. very winter-like feel. we wish the amounts would be a little bit stronger. we do have a more decent system on the way. about a quarter of an inch. little lets little less than that in some spots. snow levels down to 2,000 feet. kind that in mind if you're headed that way. 11 inches in kirkwood and tahoe city. we'll pick this up wednesday afternoon. we could see light rain and then this could impact your commute. heaviest rain loonks to come in wednesday night into thursday morning. this pushes through but then more wrap-around showers behind it into the bulk of the day on friday. we'll dry out on saturday.

good sunday morning to you. did you feel the change this morning? slightly milder although we were certainly near freezing in our inland valleys. most of you probably not as frigid. we had at least a half dozen and plenty of numbers in the 20s. this morning it's a little bit later. we are looking at temperatures a bit milder. in san jose topping out about 60 degrees. look at that jump from 10:00 until noontime. we'll see temperatures a little bit below average. the numbers will be cool for the week ahead. we'll show it to you for the entire bay area. as we look outside for the minute here a little bit hazy. we'll look at total sunshine today. we had the clouds yesterday and the breeze that will be absent today. until tomorrow this weather system drops down and brings the rain. the stiff northwesterly winds are behind it. nice and blue here from the

golden gate bridge. 47 mount view. looking at 48 in gilroy. half-moon bay up to 52. you were in the 30s this morning. some of the coldest numbers were in danville this morning. upper 40s for our friends in fairfield. 52 nevada and 43 in napa. picking up a little bit of snow. it is chilly though. it is 17 at the tahoe valley airport. snow arrives tomorrow. a winter weather advisory there. chilly temperatures for everyone this morning and sunny and slightly warmer conditions this afternoon. so we'll look for that one on our storm impact scale very early tomorrow. .10 to .20 tomorrow. you'll notice the low snow levels. clouds increase and then the rain arrives very late, just in time to mess up that morning ride. the slick roadways in the north

bay, it will be raining in the east bay and in the south bay. the front moves through and behind it a few left over showers. the air is cold enough. mount hamilton could see a light dusting. the winds will be breezy tonight and winds continue. the gusts strongest along the coast, 30 miles per hour here. 5:00 in the morning getting going with 20 to 25 miles per hour winds. it will be a blustery afternoon. the sun will reveal itself by tomorrow. we are looking at the amounts from a quarter of an inch and from 4:00 in the morning through the afternoon. the amounts pretty impressive for a weak system. about a foot of snow for the most favorable location. the heaviest rain into thursday sort of lasts right on through three days into friday, friday evening and so far amounts look to be about an inch around the bay.
