that team for substance abuse. smith's fiance says she does not want to talk to the media at this time. the raiders also did not comment. reporting live in alameda, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. thank you, amy. the chp is investigating an apparent freeway shooting. they responed to reports of a collision near oakland coliseum. there was no collision. instead, officers arrived to find this abandoned car. oakland police notified the chp that good samaritans found a shooting victim walking along 880. he was taken to the hospital. no word on his condition. stepping up security at a twin peaks elementary school. according to the chronicle, security guards will be on patrol at rooftop elementary today. an adult community member made threats of violence against the school last week.

that person was arrested after making the threats but has since been released. a district spokeswoman says there's no reason to believe that the threats are credible. the warm spot towards the financial district at 48 degrees. coming through the ferry building, 46. here's a look at the ferry building and the bay bridge from our east bay hills camera. caution on the roads in the north bay around santa rosa, petaluma and all the neighbors and between. you could have a little bit of fog in morning. otherwise, your commute is green. cold this morning in our mass transit to mild this afternoon. light breezes on the bay. let's take a look at temperatures and conditions. 12-hour planner for the east bay. starting off at 41. by noon up to 5:00. under the stars at 8:00.

francisco street after mayor ed lee will move forward today. documents will be officially filed to rename kearney street to mayor ed lee street. she says that street is significant because it's historically populated by chinese americans. when london breed was acting mayor she wanted to name portsmouth square after lee. plans for walkouts in the bay area. after the weekend, rain and snow, water officials are out surveying again. could california be back in drought mode? plus, north and south korea

if you're visiting some other parts of the state today, good news. look at this. it is going to be just about cloud-free everywhere. where there is a few clouds, it's only because it's warmer. the low to 70s. 69 in san diego. low to mid-60s through the central valley to monterey. 49 yosemite. 38 in tahoe today. as we look at the seven-day forecast, 5 to 7 feet over the weekend is nice. we'll get wintry showers thursday after temperatures get back to average if not warmer by wednesday. then a chance of some wet weather turning to frozen weather this weekend.

abc 7 news reporter cornell barnard has the story. >> students spent their sunday afternoon in a park marking orange t-shirts with strong messages. she and her classmates will wear the t-shirts march 14th during a national school walkout for gun control in the wake of the mass shooting in parkland, florida, which killed 17. >> 17 people dead, that's insane. >> i hope the lawmakers listen and pass common sense gun reform to make the schools safer. >> that will happen at 10:00 a.m. and last 17 minutes, one minute for each victim of the shooting. this woman lost her best friend. >> if i found out one of my best friends was killed in a shooting, i don't know what i would do. i think it's important that we can use our voices to spread awareness and make sure no one has to go through it again. >> grace cathedral held a forum

on gun violence in the u.s. >> twisting people's lives ripped apart by the violence. we want to make sure we do what we can to stop that and make the world a safer place. >> back in pleasanton, foothill students raised money for a fund to help victims of the florida shooting. in pleasanton, cornell barnard, abc 7 news. people in the north bay will walk out of schools and work for what they call dreamers action day. the march is scheduled for noon and start at santa college and end at old courthouse square. new this morning, a high lvel south korea south korean delegation is meeting with kim jong un today. this is the first time he's talking face to face with officials from the south since he took power no 2011. the delegation plans to lay moon

obama is a queen and parker wants to be a queen also. all right. our next storm, nothing like the last storm that we had. look at the rainfall potential. it is very low from less than a tenth of an inch in mountain view and san jose over towards livermore to barely a tenth to .15 of an inch around the bay and to the coast. maybe a quarter to a third of an inch in the north bay. it looks like this will affect thursday's morning commute and to a lesser extent thursday's evening commute. kpeek spe speaking of that, here's alexis. >> we're looking at a little fog this morning especially in the north bay. i have live doppler 7 on top of our traffic maps. you can see a thin layer here. the brighter the white, the denser the fog. we're looking at grays here, nothing too dense but on 101 and near santa rosa, you could have reduced visibility. keep that in mind. in san rafael, the traffic cameras are looking pretty clear here and no delays from the north bay. delays out of the central

valley. we'll head back there at 5:00. black panther is king of the box office again. this is the third straight weekend the film has grossed $500 million domestically. the third fastest film to reach that amount. this past weekend black panther crushed new releases by earning $66 million. red sparrow, featuring jennifer lawrence came in number 2, earning $17 million in the first weekend. death wish, a reboot of the charles bronson action thriller. and followed by game night and peter rabbit. black pack then is a massive hit and one of the warriors treated a group of oakland kids to the movie. he hosted kids for children's after school program for a private screening of black panther. the group helps low income families by providing them with
