the evening time, heavy snow showers. that's where the dark blue is indicating 12-18 inches of snow in areas. it continues to travel toward the northeast. keep in mind, we are looking at a rate of one to two inches of snow per hour. 60 mile-per-hour winds in some cases. >> what do you expect in terms of how long it will take to get through this and what part of the storm do we need to be most worried about? >> the storm right now is a lot like a cake. it's still baking at this hour. it's not quite done, but it's rising fast. and with that understanding, we're expecting, for example in boston, one to three inches, then towards new york there's your cake and souffle and all that we're talking about. we're looking at about 6-12 inches in new york, even dipping down towards philadelphia and baltimore expect 1-3 inches of know there. it's going to stick around this morning but by noon i'd say 11:30 eastern time to 1:30, that's when this thing is going
