concord police shot a suspect during a traffic spot. they stopped a car at 5:30 last night near creighton road while the suspect was a passenger in the car. investigators say they had a warrant out for his arrest as police tried to take him into custody. they say the man took off running. that's when an after opened fire. the suspect has been taken to the hospital. his condition is not known. police say he's 40 years old from antioch. and in the wake of the north bay wildfires napa county is expanding its emergency alert system. the napa valley register reports the county is adding a wider reaching cell phone alert option, similar to amber alertsn up. the county currently sends push alerts to cell phones and e-mails, but people must sign up to receive those messages. happening today, volunteers

above the clouds from mount cam. we are looking towards san francisco which is under those low clouds right there. so, we have fog and low clouds just through midmorning. and then this afternoon, it will be mostly sunny and mild. then enjoy it while you can, because we have a very wet and windy week. in fact, this is our only dry day of the week. so our forecast animation shows the fog going back about noon. fog just leaving the coast this afternoon. temperatures will warm up. lots of low 70s out there. oakland, 70s. freemont, san jose, 72. san francisco, 68 degrees. we'll see clouds stick around half moon bay and along the coast. and that's where we'll hit only the mid-60s today. so, increasing clouds overnight. so, tomorrow morning when you wake up, temperatures will be in the 50s and we could see a few spotty showers. that brings us our next storm on the abc7 storm impact scale, 1

out of 5, it's light. monday through tuesday, we'll start off the day with scattered showers on monday. notice gusts start to pick up in the evening up to 45 miles per hour overnight. and that's where the more moderate rainfall will be expected late monday night into tuesday morning. i'll so the forecast animation starting at 5:00 tomorrow morning. you'll see the fog and clouds once again. then throughout the day, fog and clouds spreading but for monday night there will be slick roads for the commute home. however, the more moderate kicks in late monday night into tuesday morning. some areas of yellow pop up for the tuesday commute. and that's also when we'll see the strongest wind. monday night, 43 miles per hour range. and notice it stays in the 30-mile-per-hour range through tuesday morning. so, tuesday, will be pretty messy. and unfortunately, we've got rain pretty much throughout the week even lingering into next weekend with spotty showers into
