new at 11:00, days after the deadly shootings at the veteran's rehab facility some at the home are demanding tighter security measures. we toek -- we spoke with them about why they are so worried. >> security? what security. >> reporter: there's a reason they are not armed, they have pepper spray and batons. >> anybody can come in here 24/7 and do pretty nasty thng thing they wanted to. >> reporter: the residents are

the flight attendant told them had that the dog and carrier had to ride in an overhead luggage bin. the family protested and the flight attendant insisted that it was okay. the dog did not have water in the bin. >> new developments a person got sick after eating mussels after a warning wept out. that person collected mussels from dillon beach, and now the patient is in a hospital. a warning was issued last week. about a naturally occurring toxin found in mussels, clams and scallops from those counties, this warning does not affect seafood bought in stores. >> well, our series of storms has led to a winter storm warning at lake tahoe, through tomorrow. >> chains are required on i-80 and highway 50. sandy pa tell is here with the latest on the timing of the

storm systems. >> yeah, hang on to the rain gear for more days. we will check out of the sierra in a moment. we are right now getting a look at what is happening in the bayier and as we get -- in the bay area, and as we get street level, steady rain, you will notice that around the south bay, evergreen, highway 101, street level radar showing you moderate showers and as we look around the peninsula from 280 to half moon bay n to pacifica and a few spotty showers in to san francisco tonight. north bay, you are seeing rain. it's now right across santa rosa heading in to napa on the storm impact scale, it's a level one through tomorrow. scattered shower, brief down powers, not out of the question and there's definitely a possibility of thunderstorms. i just looked at the importance of the road, requiring chains. not a good idea to head up there because of the gusty winds and

the heavy snow, but it's great to see this, which is for hours, it had has been snowing up there. a winter storm warning above 4,000 feet until wednesday that is tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. it's a winter storm watch through thursday afternoon to friday night. in terms of the snow totals. they are expecting the snow in feet. up to 36 inches and kirkwood 54 inches. so great to see that. temperatures are right now, 40s, 50s, a live look from the emery ville camera, and as we look across the bay. visibility is fine. showers, possible thunder tomorrow. cold storm arriving on thursday and the snow level dropping to 3,000 feet. we will dry out this weekend. overnight tonight. the steady widespread rain will be more spotty in nature around the wee hours of the morning. spotty showers as we head in to 4:00 a.m. it may take you longer to get to work or get the kids to school. between 5:00 and 8:00 a.m. the north bay will see the return of

showers with high he will elevation snow mixing in. noon time, scattered showers are continuing. the pops of yellow indicating pod rate rain and really, isolated between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. tomorrow night, winding down, short break before the next storm comes in on thursday. the rain totals will vary. dependinging on where the storms develop and tomorrow morning you are looking at upper 40s. so a cool start, a good idea to have the umbrella handy you may not need it and some of you will need it tomorrow afternoon, as we have scattered showers in the forecast. temperatures, low to upper 50s. and accuweather seven day forecast. isolated thunder not out of the question. thursday, friday, and level ones and this time around, it will be cooler with a cold storm coming in, snow level down to 3,000 means could see snow showers over the highest peaks. saint patrick's day, skies clear out and then we have a dry sunday before another possibility of rain.
