this display of activism will help shed light on the parkland shooting like dozens of other incidents. just like a flash mob, once the walkout was over, everyone disappeared. however campus leaders here say this movement is not going to disappear. in santa clara, david louie, abc7 news. in menlo park, a large group of students from the high school also walked out of class to protest gun violence. the long line of teenagers represented several schools. at el camino park, more than 1,000 students listened as classmates expressed sadness and frustration. >> you think every victim of the

support for veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder. the three san francisco police may finally get tasers after years and years of debate and rejection. >> the police commission is expected to vote on the one thing holding back police on a less lethal weapon. a policy for the use of tasers. >> reporter: tasers, the police commission finally approved them last november after a decade of lobbying by police and four chiefs, in opposition by critics. tonight the commissioners are poised to debate on a policy that will set the guidelines for the use of these devices. commissioner joe marshall expects approval. >> there's a agreement on the majority of it. there's several sticking points that they have come to an agreement on. p>> reporter: the police officer's association put its own taser policy on the ballot for this june's elections,

school. please, please, please, please. >> man that, student also told the dispatcher that there were bullet holes in the walls near her. >> so about the proposal to arm teachers in classrooms, a central coast teacher who's also a reserve police officer is now on administrative leave after an accidental shooting in class. this happened yesterday during a public safety class at seaside high school in monterrey county. three students were injured by falling debris. reporter sierra sparks spoke to one of the students about what happened there. >> furman gonzalez was one of the ones injured when his teacher was checking to see if the gun he brought to his class was loaded. that's when it accidentally went off. >> you could see splatters on the ceiling.

okay. if you know anything about this, call san jose police. the trial is now under way for the widow of the pulse nightclub shooter. salman grew up in the east bay city of rodeo and returned there following the massacre in 2016 that left 49 people dead. a spokeswoman says salman is actually retrieved her case is finally going to trial. >> she said that she was really looking forward to the jury hearing the evidence because she knows that a lot of things that have been reported and leaked to the media have been untrue. >> reporter: the trial is taking place in orlando, florida where that pulse shooting happened. salman faces life in prison if convicted. top republicans are privately expressing concern following the results in a congressional special election that took place outside of pittsburgh, pennsylvania last night. with just a few ballots left to count, democrat conor lamb

it appears netflix is poised to get into the tv news business. bring it netflix. market watch reports that the los gatos based company is in the early stages of producing a weekly news magazine show similar to 20/20 or 60 minutes. this move is part of the streaming service's expansion into different programming generas including documentaries and talk shows. walmart expanding it's same-day online grocery delivery service to an additional 100 metropolitan areas. the extension means that more than 40% of u.s. households will be available by the end of the year. it's currently available in six markets, shoppers pay a flat fee of $9.95. they're also required to spend at least $30 per order.
