she says facebook can expect scrutiny by its 1.4 million users and advertisers. >> i think both the regulatory market and the consumer market will rein them in. >> reporter:. the company would only say it was part of a regular gathering on a range of topics. captain keller, a specialist in corporate liability and responsibility at stanford's center for internet and society says facebook could face private lawsuits foreprivacy. face book is also facing investigation by the federal trade commission for a facebook trade overusing data without the users consent. >> facebook should have had a way of verifying everything and not being sloppy about it and apparently, they didn't do that. so we'll have to find out why.

offered that controversial measure. >> reporter: the supreme court justices are reviewing a 2015 law offered by san francisco assembly man david chew, it targets so-called crisis pregnancy centers is that pretends to offer women a range of options but is actually anti-abortion. his measure provides that they make it clear. >> these centers are run by extremists who are trying to ensure that women are misinformed and misled and deceived about what reproductive health options they have in the state of california. >> reporter: but antsaying quot when the government decides what people should and should mott say, other freedoms are sure to disappear soon after.

information about the background checks performed on the service providers sent to customers homes. >> we have tried to get them to take these ads off and they have refused to we're filing this action against them and wire hoping to get a temporary restraining order so this stops being offered to the consumer. >> san francisco is now the first major u.s. city to ban the sale of new fur products. the board of supervisors passed an ordinance that will go into effect january 1. it doesn't apply to secondhand items or sheep or lamb skin. supervi berkeley and west hollywood have similar bans. another school shooting today. this time in maryland. a student with a gun injured two others but was stopped by a school resource officer.
