capitol steps. >> reporter: protesters chanted in anger and frustration at local police. >> it is indoctrinated to fear us. but we stand here and we are human beings, of the united states of america, this is our country. >> reporter: the protests were sparked by the shooting death of 22-year-old stefan clark in the backyard of his grand parents home. you're about to see police body cam footage of the shooting and it is disturbing. police received a report of someone breaking into cars. officers found clark and opened fire believing they saw a gun. yesterday protesters marched on to i-5 blocking traffic and a protest outside the sacramento kings game forced officials to turn thousands of people away. >> at the end of this investigation, no matter where you fall, agree, you don't

high school. >> reporter: this is where 10 to 30,000 people are expected to turn out for saturday's march. the march for our lives have been raising money for a stage, barricades and t-shirts. there will be one of a dozen speakers. >> we want each one to come here and give us their advice on the gun violence platform and those who have different ideas about how to go about it because we know this issue is divisive. >> reporter: this computer science student continues to work on his speech for the rally in march in san francisco. >> this comes once in a lifetime and it will be -- it's of the essence to capitalize it at this moment and make sure everybody sees this truth. >> reporter: while the national spotlight will be on washington where students and supporters are already arriving, the san francisco march is expected to draw 100,000.

for at least four to six weeks. he plans to return before the break in july. bumgarner missed three months last season after a dirt bike accident in april, and now this. the batter who hit that line drive was kansas city royals whit merryfield. they both grew up in south carolina, merryfield told reporters his first ever at-bat in travel baseball was against bumgarner and one of bumgarner's pitches hit him in the head. a lot of emotions today at the memorial service for the marin county sheriff's deputy. 24-year-old brian zerkle died in a car accident while responding to a 911 call. >> reporter: from drone view 7, you can see just how loved the marin county sheriff's deputy
