shoulder. san mateo bridge, westbound 92, no gridlock yet at the toll plaza. but we have a disabled vehicle reported blocking one lane near the high-rise. we'll check on drive times at 6:10. thanks, alexis. an unusual situation where a catholic school will be under a shelter in place following the threat of a possible shooting. >> students will only be al to use restroom. mark keller has more. >> reporter: the threat made on friday night is having repercussions here on monday morning in san mateo. the principal at st. gregory catholic cool is having a shelter in place all day because of that threat. it's all because of this guy. look at this picture here. this is the guy that on friday evening san mateo police say a customer inside the big five sporting goods store in el camino real reported hearing this man comment to an employee he wanted to buy a gun. he then threatened to shoot up a

school and asked for a good shirt to wear. he's possibly transient, 35 years old wearing a camo sweatshirt and blue jeans. police arrived in minutes. they searched for the man but couldn't find him. witnesses didn't find the statements to be credible. but police want to talk to him still as a result of the threats. there was a message sent out to parents saying students will not be switching classes. the doors will be locked. she's following suit of the san mateo schools. this may seem extreme but they're doing everything they can to keep the students safe. reporting live in san mateo, matt keller, abc 7 news. thank you, matt. new this morning, a nasty crash in hayward in the area of clay witter road and diablo avenue. it looks like power lines came down on the car. we don't know the condition of the driver. although they said the driver had to be taken out and taken to

welcome back. at least 64 people are dead following a fire at a shopping mall in siberia. we're getting reports from witnesses that alarms did not go off. the fire broke out yesterday at the winter cherry mall in the city of kem row voe. witnesses say staff at the mall didn't arrange for any sort of evacuation. and this was the first weekend of school recess. it's a very popular attraction for families, kids, teens. officials have not said how many of those victims were minor. i've been checking throughout the morning. i can tell you i'm starting to see reports that at least dozens were children. now, the fire is still under investigation this morning. the video is stunning. i will let you know if we get updates. >> thank you, jessica. >> more than a half million dollars in taxpayer funds have been paid to settle sexual harassment complaints against california judges and court employees. that's the news from the judicial council. the policy making body for state

courts which serves as a lawyer for judges and court employees accused of misconduct. three complaints were made against judges, two against court employees. they were from several counties. new developments. south korea is renegotiating the auto trade deal with the u.s. to avoid tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. the u.s. will lift tariffs on south korean made pickup trucks in 2021 and exempt south korea from the steel and aluminum tariffs. in exchange, south korea will ease emissions standards for american vehicles. 25,000 american vehicles exported to south korea will not need to comply with domestic regulations. south korea is the third largest exporter behind brazil for steel. a beeper egg hunt was held in fremont on saturday for blind or visually impaired kids. they have beepers inside of
