gatesing facebook about the company's privacy practices. facebook has been under intense criticism when it was revealed the data of 50 million users was improperly mined by cambridge analytica and used in the presidential election. amy hollyfield is live with congressman swalwell is responding. >> reporter: he is concerned and he has questions. he doesn't think facebook acted maliciously with the russians but he doesn't think facebook and other social media companies have been forthcoming. >> now is the time for every social media company to come clean and be completely forthcoming. >> reporter: that's the reaction from representative eric swalwell to the facebook scandal. we caught up with him at a flag-raising ceremony at the new courthouse in dublin. >> we have closed our investigation just as new information is coming to light

media companies right now. live in dublin, live in hollyfield, abc7 news. >> thank you. now to that threat in san mateo. it was made in a store in san mateo and schools in the area are on heightened awareness. parents are anxious. matt keller is live with the story. >> reporter: jessica, a very unusual day here in san mateo. schools are saying that the students are their first priority and their safety. all the while police are looking for the man who made this threat. kids at st. gregory catholic school in san mateo will not be enjoying the sunny dale outside. recess and lunch will be held behind locked doors because this man walked into big 5 store el camino real. big 5 employees did not sell him a gun and asked him to leave.

witnesses described him as a white man possibly transient about 35 years old wearing a camo sweatshirt and blue jeans. wtnesses told police no specific school was named and they did not believe the threat was credible. over the weekend, schools in san mateo was notified. 30 plus private and public schools are in the area. san mateo foster spokesperson. >> we are letting our parents and staff know we're more vigilant and aware today, making sure all gates and doors are locked. >> reporter: a san mateo unified high school spokesperson says they will not be on lockdown but asking campuses to be on heightened awareness. all of this is making and students nervous. >> we have to go to work and they have to go to school. it's nervous. >> i didn't tellmy little one. he would be panic pd i don't

want to go to school. what i if could die? that's all he could think of. >> reporter: even though witnesses say the threat did not seem credible, police still want to talk to this man and evaluate him to come to their own conscious. in san mateo, matt keller, abc7 news. new this morning, 18 nations announcing they're expelling more than 100 russians in response to the nerve agent poisoning of a former spy. the u.s., canada, ukraine and 15 other european nations have joined britain in ordering out russian diplomats accused of being spies working under diplomatic cover. prime minister theresa may said the action is, quote, the largest collections of russian intelligence officers in history. the russian consulate in san francisco's pacific heights neighborhood was ordered to close last summer. the decision announced in august was the kremlin's decision to force the u.s. to cut diplomatic staff by 750 people.

no diplomats were expelled at that time. there is speculation this morning that north korean leader kim jong-un is visiting china today. a train surrounded by heavy security arrived in beijing from north korea this morning. it would be his first known trip outside north korea since taking power in the year 2011. kim jong-un is expected to meet south korea's president next month and president trump later this year. in a "60 stormy daniels opens up about having sex with president trump in 2006 and her threats to keep silence. the white house has yet to respond but in the past has denied all of the allegations. abc news with the one-on-one. >> reporter: adult film star stormy daniels broke her silence on "60 minutes". >> i was perfectly fine saying nothing at all, but i'm not okay to be made out to be a liar or people thinking i did this for

money. >> reporter: daniels sharing what she says happened between her and trump in 2006. >> you had sex with him? >> yes. >> you were 27, he was 60. were you physically attracted to him? >> no. >> reporter: she says in 2011 she was physically threatened to keep quiet about the alleged affair. she had just sold her story to "in touch" magazine sister and she did not -- >> forget the story, keep quiet. >> reporter: michael cohn sent a cease and desist later saying cohn was responsible for threats against daniels. >> you can't break a contract without there being consequences. >> reporter: the interview follows the confidentiality agreement she signed for $130,000 days before the 2016 election. she said it's void because president trump never signed it.

michael cohn acknowledges he paid daniels $130,000 from a personal home equity line as part of a nondisclosure agreement and claims daniel broke the agreement more than 20 times. making her liable for damages in excess of $20 million. >> he can tweet on every other subject known to mankind but for some reason he can't come out and deny the affair? >> reporter: trump through representatives has denied the affair with daniels or any involvement in the agreement for her silence. daniels' attorney says he has more evidence, but he declined to say what it is. so far there's been no direct reaction from the white house except a tweet from the president this morning about fake news. abc news, washington. lawyers for the widow of the pulse nightclub shooter omar mateen are demanding a attorneys fher say her father ws an fbi agent. this information should have

been disclosed she was arrested at her parents' home in rodeo in january 2017. the oakland a's have spent the last two decades trying to leave the oakland coliseum, but this morning they announced they intend to buy it. the a's tweeted a letter from the president to the city they intend to buy the oakland alameda complex for $135 million. and that amount is the remaining debt the city and the county owe by the city and the council. now, the announcement comes after a public pushback to the a's preferred site for a new stadium near later merritt. uber is calling it quits. after the break where the san francisco-based ride hailing company will be moving. how fans of aaron brothers can shop the brand even after

it went out add winter cherry mall. officials have launched an investigation into possible neglect. no word on what caused the fire. four people have been detained and questioned. meantime, pope francis sent a telegram offering his condolences. the bodies of four americans killed by toxic gas in mexico expected to be returned to the u.s. by wednesday. the parents and two children died in their vacation condo. mexican officials have ruled the cause of death was suffocation from inhaling toxic gas. investigators checked the condo's gas stove and hot water heater to try to identify that gas. the deaths have the markings of carbon monoxide poisoning but no firm conclusion has been reached. the reverend al sharpton says he will attend the funeral of the sacramento man that was shot and killed by police. 22-year-old stefan clark will be laid to rest thursday. his death sparked widespread protest because he was unarmed. the clark family attorney said
