now from abc 7, live breaking news. two breaking stories in san francisco right now, hit-an-run crashes in the dog patch and bruno heights, sky 7 is live over 24th and illinois streets now where the latest kracrash happened 30 minutes ago. you see the police tape as well as officers standing there. this is an area of warehouses, one block off 3rd street, and the main thoroughfare through the neighborhood. police have not released details, but from sky 7, we saw three people being put into ambulances. you see is right there. we don't now how serious injuries are. more breaking news, san francisco police investigating a hit and run that critically injured a pedestrian two miles

from the other scene. sky 7 was over the area on the outskirts of bruno heights park. a car hit a woman before 8:30 this morning and left the scene. the woman has life threat threatening injuries. police say they don't have a description of the car involved. thanks for joining us today. our other top story, federal investigators in the bay area today trying to determine whether tesla's auto pilot was engaged when a deadly crash happened on highway 101 last friday. meantime, the palo alto based company cast blame on something missing on the roadway. abc 7 matt keller is live in mountain view for the latest, matt? >> reporter: chp is not commenting on their ongoing investigation. however, tesla is speaking out about what they say they know about the crash. the crash in mountain view friday, horrific, 38-year-old was killed after his tesla model

x crashed into the divider. the question everyone is requesting, was the model x using auto pilot at the time of the crash? in a new blog post titled what we know about last week's accident, tesla wrote they have yet to retrieve the vehicle's logs so they do not know what happened in the moments leading up to the crash. the ntsb is investigating if the car's auto pilot system was activated at the time. tesla says data shows vehicle owners driven that same stretch of highway with auto pilot engaged 85,000 times since 2015 and 20,000 times since the beginning of the year. the blog postfocused much of the attention on the severity of the crash. tesla blames a missing crash. these are from a driver who commutes daily. one image shows what the safety barrier looks like in proper condition, and the image from

the day before the crash on thursday, you can see it's missing. this morning, we drove that stretch of road and saw the crash barrier was replaced. could that have saved his life? tesla has never seen this level of damage to a model x in any other crash. we reached out to cal trans to ask about the claims of the missing safety barrier. they said they are looking into it and will get back to us. live in mountain view, matt keller, abc 7 news. >> thank you. a person found a fetus, a sad discovery, west of the sports complex. officials say the male fetus found yesterday was fairly well developed and probably washed ashore. black lives matter organizers plan to hold protests today and tomorrow in sacramento demanding criminal charges be filed against two police officers who shot and killed an an unarmed black man.

seniors say they were abandon by staff at the home as flames approached. attorneys say it resulted in the subsequent death of two residents. the man accused of stabbing a woman to death inside the san francisco church is expected to make a court appearance today. the stabbing happened sunday at the chinese christian church on chester avenue. we are waiting for the victim's name to be released. we do know she was 37 years old. it's not clear what her connection was to the suspect. he's facing murder charges. this was initially reported as a domestic violence incident. happening tonight in the north bay, one of two town halls to give residents the chance to weigh in on the cannabis process. the city of sonoma is hosting the town hall. it'll be at the sonoma community center from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. the event gives people the opportunity to ask questions about the city's cannabis policy as well as the use,

distribution, and sale of cannabis products. this morning, road crews added safety improvements to a major commute corridor. this was work put off due to recent storms. drivers may experience delays right now from the county line to camino diablo road. we are live with the details, amy? >> reporter: kristin, the delay is not too bad. wait just a couple of minutes reducing traffic down to one lane around the area. one thing people all seem to agree on is vasco road and how dangerous it is and how much help it needs to be safer. it is a key corridor for commuters and also a dreaded one. >> going very fast, and so i see a couple times more accidents than normal. >> reporter: this driver avoids it because he's heard of the many accidents that happen here. vasco road is known for crashes,

especially head-on collisions. drivers say they see a lot of dangerous behavior here. >> it's not safe. the dates that i go out to brentwood for work, there's people passing when they shouldn't be, and you slow down and wait for them to get back into the traffic side. >> reporter: today, drivers saw another reminder of the dangers here. crews working on making it safer. they replaced the middle di lennuaters, some were knocked down by drivers drifting out of lanes. the hope is these barriers as well as rumble strips alert drivers when they start to veer out of their lanes. one commuter thinks it'll take more than this to prevent crashes. >> i don't think it'll work. i mean, the way it is now was their plan to make it safer, and there's still a lot of accidents. >> reporter: they are doing the work between 9:00 and 4:00, so they don't interfere with the commute. the crews we talked to think they'll get it finished today, but the county did block off today and tomorrow just in case the work needs that much time.

reporting live from livermore, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> thank you. new details on plans to extend bart to sap jose. time is running out for bart and the santa clara transportation authority to agree how to build the tunnel connecting four stations. they have to have a decision by next thursday, and bart has to approval it by april 26 to get $1.5 billion in federal grant funding. they want to build a single tunnel underground fast tracking the prompt by ten months and avoid disrupting downtown businesses during construction. bart prefers a twin tunnel design citing safety concerns. transit riders, changes coming to the routes. today, officials want to know what you think about them. the changes are for the new service to the transbay center and double decker bus service later this year. at least a half dozen routes will be changed or eliminated. you can voice your opinion at two meetings today. the first at noon at golden gate university in san francisco, and

stormy daniels is heating up inching ever closer to the president. daniels' attorney wants mr. trump to have a two-hour de depositi deposition. abc 7 news reporter has the very latest. adult film actress stormy dames calling for president trump and his personal lawyer, michael cowen, to under questions under oath. they filed a a motion in u.s. district court in california seeking to di pose the president on what he knew about $130,000 nondisclosure agreement. the white house denied the president had any knowledge of the agreement betweenlawyer t they attacked each other on cnn. >> he's a thug. >> reporter: they told abc news he doesn't believe the case will ever get to the deposition stage saying it's valid on its face and defamation
