cancer warning signs will soon be going up in coffee shops near you. a los angeles judge has ruled coffee products sold in california must carry cancer warning labels because a chemical compound used in the roasting process is a carcino n carcinogen. under a state law that requires warnings on chemicals that cause cancer. the coffee industry required that coffee should be exempt because the chemical results naturally from the cooking process to make the beans flavorful. another massive data breach, this one involving under armor's popular health app my fitness pal. a hacker accessed the data of some 150 million accounts in

february. the data includes user names, email and pass words has well. my fitness pal is an app used to track meals and exercise. apple is the latest tech company to change it's privatity policy in the wake of the facebook data scandal. facebook has a feature that will alert the user if their data is being collected by one of its partners. as abc7 news reporter melanie woodrow explains, there's contention over whether the proposed change will increase or decrease jury diversity. >> the alameda county court's executive -- meaning jurors won't necessarily be called to serve at the court they live

closest to. the courts already operate on a county wide jury pool for felony cases. >> the rule of the bench is that your jury pool shouldn't depend on what type of case you have, it should be the same for everyone in the county. >> reporter: the judge thinks that the move will lead to greater overall participation. but public defender brandon woods strongly disagrees. >> what the courts are doing is adding an extra layer of burden for people to serve on juries. it is going to make the jury panels mostly people who are after fluent and i hate to say this, but people who are not people of color. >> if every jury pool is a county wide pool, i think they will be more diverse, not less. >> a public comment period is open until early may.

the tax season. there's a big knew one, right? >> yes. >> what is that? >> what it is is cyber criminals are stealing tax professionals data, such as employment information and bank account information and they're filing fraudulent tax returns using that information. now the refunds go into the taxpayers actual bank accounts. so then what happens after that, the taxpayer is contacted by the bad guy, and being told, okay, you need to return that refund, it was sent to you in error. go to this website and this is what you need to do. >> so the guy who's got my tax information, he's hacked, not me. >> correct. >> then they take the information, put the money in my account, then call up and threaten me? and you go well, the money is there, they must be the irs? >> correct. and then they pose as a debt collection agency. that's what they're trying to do. so first of all, never return the refund to the person that's
